My first attempt at a rack

Hey all, here's the oak rack I've put together, though I'm not married to the products and might change a few. Can anyone tell me their process for selection? Location request? Best sellers? Random and find out?

If all else fails I'm just going to do trial and error lol 2d59dfedb8e349111f87e666a66b4157.jpg

It looks good as it's a compact design.  The thing I would change in the future is the 300 globes.  I've done that in the past and it was a mistake.  They don't hold enough capsules without having to run over to the location in between services for any decent location.  I would advise to do panel heads because then you can add an extra capacity back for extra storage if need be. Other than that, I think it looks good and see no reason why you couldn't locate it quickly.

As for the products, I think you have a good variety for a starter set up.  I would also suggest a jewelry mix, mustaches and a toy mix all will sell well at 50 cents.  I would try Mexican and Chinese restaurants for this configuration.  You can't go wrong with a 5 way!

Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback, I was wondering about the smaller globes myself, just what came with the rack when I bought it. Actually it was 6 of them, I changed the top three out to the big oaks.

I always play with my toys first lol, I can't see the appeal of the punch balloons, but I bought em cuz the big guys have em at the big grocery stores around here. But I got bored with it pretty quick, Maybe I'm just finally growing up

I remember seeing that rack on ebay actually.  I didn't buy it simply because they were 300 globes.  It was a good deal though.  Punch balloons, if they are anything like the 1" from Flatline, they will do great!  I've been selling the Rocket/Punch Balloons from Flatline since they came out and they haven't slowed down at all.

Good thing you didn't buy it, turned into a hassle when the guy claimed he didn't put it on eBay and wanted more lol, only reason it worked out for me is that he happens to live 20 min away and we worked it out.

That's great to hear about the punch balloons, I have two Mexican restaurants two grocery stores, and a laundromat that I've been scoping out, going hunting tomorrow before work, we'll see.

Looks like a great setup. Good spots for something about that size are everywhere, and you've got all your bases covered product-wise, so don't sweat that too much just yet. You can experiment a lot more when you get it on site. Were it me, I'd focus on restaurants, especially since it's a more compact unit. Some restaurants have really tiny entry ways, so you've got the upper hand over someone like me with my step stands and J-stands. Use the thing's size as a selling point, and edge out the competition.

Gages has a good point about the heads- at a humdrum spot the globes are probably fine, but you'll want to graduate up to panel heads sometime soon. With any luck, your sales will warrant it! Good luck sir!

Thanks, I'll shoot for restaurants tomorrow. I tried some laundromats today. But then realized it's kinda hard to find the owner/manger since they just open the doors and leave for the rest of the day. I always presume laundromats are the jackpot because people always have to have quarters (though i went to a high tech one today that had card readers on the machines) but maybe a restaurant is a better start.

Finally found a location for my rack. It's a small grocery store, and overall it was a much better experience commission locating than charity locating for me. Felt more in control, and people seemed more receptive. I even have a few maybe's that I can follow up on when I get my next rack put together. No idea if this location will pan out or be profitable, but definitely glad i'm getting into toys.
