Best all around machine for personal use

Recommended Posts

Hey guys. Title pretty much says it all. I have a FSI 3037 in my shop/ man cave. We love having the machine out there but the wife and I have come to the conclusion we want more variety than 12oz cans of soda/beer. It's a personal use only machine. I'm thinking, water, Gatorade, etc. What machine is everyone's opinion provides the best variety for packaging and selections? I've been put in charge of restocking our vending machine at work and I've come to really like that machine. It's a royal GIII 660-9 and I've been leaning that way. It has a nice 9 selection variety and it's simple to change packages and doesn't use shims, but I've never used or changed shims so it could be easy. Also what's the difference between say a GIII 660 and a Merlin IV 650? I've also considered the Dixie Narco 501 series but I don't know much about shims and I don't know what the letter differences behind the 501 mean. I'm thinking stacked machine with a front graphic, and a price range of less than $1500.

Thanks

Since you're willing to spend money for a personal machine get a DN501E.  It can handle any products you want to vend when it's set up properly.  The E means Extended Cabinet for two deep 20 oz bottles.  For someone having only one machine I wouldn't recommend any Royal machine as they can be very complicated for a beginner.  Filling one and setting one up are two completely different things.  If you really want a Royal machine then get the 650 as it's still a column-motor driven machine which is fairly easy to understand, but I would recommend a 501E for you.

If you get one and require product set up parts you can email me at rbepic4gatgmaildotcom.

Get a glassfront for ultimate variety. Or a cb500 or cb700 to get 10 to 12 selectioms. A skinny royal glassfront would look nice and have beer and drinks on free vend.
