How many Bulk Vendors have a website?

Hey Vendors, from my experience I've found bulk vending to be a very brick and mortar type of business not necessarily requiring a website. However I've seen that a lot of the larger vending companies whether that's bulk candy, drink, or toys have their own website. On the website they have simple contact features, a little bit about them, and their products.

Now I myself have around 1,000 bulk candy locations along with 200 or so honor box locations and was thinking it might be time for a website but I wanted to know if it's worth it before I chunked out the cash for a nice one.

So I gotta ask, do any of guys have your own website for your vending company? Or do you feel that you don't really need one...?

If you do have one, how has having one helped?

I have one. A guy was advertising on Craigslist that he was looking to build a website for free, as long as he could add it to his portfolio. I'm not very big, but I have 35 Bulk and 10 full line locations. It only cost me $10/mo to host it. Nothing substantial from it yet, but there have been a few inquiries. I think it gives a feeling of legitimacy to my business. Www.quikvend.net

Side note: I built it primarily to advertise the full-line aspect of my business, but I mention bulk on there.

Sounds like you found the right craigslist ad! I really like the feeling of legitimacy your website gives, even just a simple few pages with pictures of your machines and prices. Thanks for the share

I had one for many years and thought it was a waste of time. I use personal referrals and letters from current happy customers. Much more powerful presentation when you can give someone a number where they can talk directly to a happy customer.

A friend of mine does web development, and set me up with something simple. My webhost is Digital Ocean, which is only $5 a month. The real perk of a website, at least the way I see it, is a means to get rid of traditional service lines, and replace them with an online contact form.

A word of advice though, either make sure the website is easy for mobile devices to browse, or don't bother making one at all at this point. Pretty much everyone from your locs to your customers uses the internet on their phones or tablets, and if your website doesn't work right, then there's no point.
