Starting Out In CA

New here! Looking to sign up with a healthy vending franchise in Southern California. This franchise focuses on healthy snacks and drinks in their machines. Currently, I am seeking further information on owning and operating machines that offer these types of snacks. If you have any experience with this please feel free to share your experiences, past and present.

Thanks!

Which organization? The general rule of thumb is to avoid franchise deals, as many in the past have failed, leaving their operators stuck with less-than-ideal equipment and potentially even a pile of debt. If you must go with a "healthy" vending route, you may very well be better off building the program yourself in-house for a fragment of the cost, while maintaining a significantly more flexible route in terms of offerings and equipment.

Whichever route you choose to go, good luck!

Search this sub-forum and others on this site for "healthy vending" and you'll see it discussed at length many times with all warned to stay away and do the program themselves if they must do it at all.  You always pay grossly overpriced prices for machines and it's just too easy to just put healthy wraps on your own machines and do it without the massive waste of money to franchises.  The majority of franchise buyers do it because they don't want to do the work it takes to build a vending company which means they don't really have the desire to work hard enough to be successful, causing a high percentage of failures of their ventures.

Don't get caught up in all the publicity and hype about how healthy vending is all the rage.  While it's more popular than ever it's still standard vending fare that sells best and makes you money.

I have a lot of experience with the Healthy Vending Market. It isn't because the interest in Healthy items isn't there, it is.  But the franchise group is so expensive between their costs and the cost of the product it is very hard to make any money.  It is best as AZ and Performa say to just purchase machines then buy a wrap from Tuff Fronts  https://www.graphicsthatpop.com/tuffronts/ and wrap the machines your self.

Most companies want some healthy items in the machine alongside the name brand National Items.  Some of the gyms, Y's and youth groups want all healthy.  You can give me a call to discuss if you are serious about it.  909-583-9068  Bev
