Ok Im new to this crane game...have a toy soldier on location..was working great until today.. Put money in (quarters or dollars).. crane will play correctly but the claw when it goes down to the prize section the claw remains open and will not close..it will come back up tho and home. The voltage meter isnt working also..I checked the fuse and the bottom fuse was burned out.. so i replaced the fuse with same kind of fuse..now voltage meter works but claw is still not closing in the play field. The crane prizes are very low ..i have plush ordered and its coming monday.. so I dont know if it going and reaching the bottom cause it to mess up or what? I listened to this youtube video (its for sb crane but it gives me an idea of things that could be the issue) I also read this in the manual for the toy soldier: Claw does not close, gantry returns to home positiona. Check 48V on power supply. b. Check claw fuse. c. Check coil continuity and connections. d. Ensure VR1 &VR2 are set correctly So what are your guys opinions on my issue? Thanks!

I have one of these machines..bought it off a lady that owned a hair salon (she was getting divorced and her husband bought the machine for the salon and she didnt want it anymore.) She sold me the machine and 4 boxes of jawbreakers for 125.00 cash.. They are good machines.. I placed mine in a china buffet and it does almost 80.00 every month.. and it gets abused and it holds up to the abuse from the little devils..I mean children..

What do you mean what kind? Isnt there only one coin mech that fits these units? I need 8 mechs.. (4 per machine) would love to have them setup like this for each machines : 1 - 1.00 and 3 - 75 cents... i figure I can get a 2 inch ball and sell for 1.00 and then sell other 2 inch at 75 cents.. I ddnt plan to use the Tomy products..just buy 2 inch stuff from aa.. thats what the other guys are doing in my neck of the woods..

I highly doubt its store owned. Our Alco has a custom built rack with their name on it also.. all beaver machines on the rack.. Its owned by a vending company..Ill get the name next time I go service the store. We have a charity double in the store beside the rack.. for some reason they rarely service the rack..which is good news for my sales

Just bought 3 - 4 selection tomy units today with keys...however, only 1 unit accepts quarters (1.00 vend)...the other 2 accept tokens since they were in arcades.. Where can I buy tomy coin mechs??

Is there any machine that you cannot defeat with straws??

Well we have a contract with a local oil change shop.. they have 9 stores and we do all nine stores with bulk candy, snack and soda. Anyways all stores are doing well with no problem except one. I had a Triple head machine in there Routepro .. they were using the coffee stir straws and sticking them in the coin mechs and it was giving free candy.. so I pulled it and put in a Northwestern double..the double worked well until I noticed a lot of pennys in the machine and the machines were running low on product.. finally one of the retards who work there showed me the new trick of putting a penny in the mech and then using the coffee stir straw and turning in and bam candy for a penny! So how do I fix this? i dont want to take the machine out cause it does well money wise..but I also cant afford to be giving free candy or penny candy. WIll a 1800 machine work when a coffee stir straw is put in??

Have a small pizza shop... double with gumballs and mm peanuts.. does ok..not great but ok.. 35.00 a month usually well they get 30 percent commission (which is a little high for me ..but I tried it..) well I serviced it last month paid them and they seemed happy..2 days later the owner has his waitress call me to remove the machine cause he doesnt think they are making money from it. The waitress gives me the owners number and tells me to call and talk to him. So I call twice that day and get voicemail so I leave a message.. I dont hear anything back from him until today. He calls me asking to pickup the machine or pay him 50 percent of the money that goes in the machine. I tell him there is NO WAY I can do that since I have to buy the candy, use time and gas to service the machine and still pay his commission. He tells me thats business and 50 percent counted in front of him or pick it up.. so I tell him Ill be right over to pick it up. I walk in and pick the machine up and walk out..the waitress is staring at me the whole time. Bout 5 minutes later the owner calls me and wants me to come back to the pizza shop and pay him his 30 percent of the money in the machine..I told him Id send a check in the mail, and he said in a smartass voice Ill be waiting for it.. I get home and the machine made 17.75 in 4 weeks... so I just put the money in my deposit bag for tomorrow and IM done with the location. The machine goes to a tattoo shop tomorrow for a charity location..
