  1. I use ziplock baggies too. I put the location name on each one with a magic marker so I know how much I've collected from each machine at each location. I've had the same baggies for about two years now with no problems. :-)
  2. Slowly growing a gumball empire

  3. Growing a gumball only empire :-)

  4. Wow, this letter is good. So glad I discovered this section of the site. Thanks Caserri!
  5. The total was $64.35 from 5 machines. Here's the breakdown: single head w/Mike & Ike's at a print shop = $29.50 single head w/1" gumballs at an electrical supply store = $7.00 double head w/Peanut M&Ms and Skittles at a senior center = $8.55 & $7.00 single head w/1" gumballs at a car tag place = $15.30 All the machines have been in place for a month except for the print shop which has only been there since 9/16. I'm kicking myself for still having 2 machines at home that I haven't placed. Now I'm eager to get them out and making money. I'm happy!
  6. It was on location for almost two months. What length of time would you suggest?
  7. The total collected from both heads after almost two months was $8.26
  8. This was a double head I placed in a bar serving gumballs and Skittles. The total from both was $8.26 (someone dropped in a penny). The product had very little movement so I pulled the machine to put in another location. The manager suggested I try nuts or something salty. I may try it again with a single head this week. Any suggestions for product to sell in a bar?
  9. I know someone selling a 5 column sticker machine with 50 cent coin mechs for $125. Is this a deal? Compared to prices for new, it seems good, but I just want to be sure. Is it possible to vend tattoos for $1? If so, is it easy to change or adjust the coin mechs? I was also thinking that sticker tattoos would do well in hair and nail salons. Does anyone have experience with those types of locations? What other location types are good for tattoo vending?
  10. I'll be starting with peanut M&Ms and Skittles here. The staff felt that gumballs would cause problems for those members with dentures.
  11. I made a post a while ago about contact senior centers and offering to make a donation to them if they let me place a machine in their center. Well after playing some phone tag, today I met with the director of one of the senior centers and secured the location. I drop off two machines there tomorrow afternoon. I'm getting excited
  12. I was only ordering 2 stands for now, I can't afford 10 at at a time yet.
  13. Turns out they were really LYPC machines on Seaga metal stands. They work perfectly though, so I got a few for $40 each. Not bad considering two new stands alone would've cost me $100 with shipping.
  14. I found someone selling used single-head Seaga machines on a metal stand w/gumball wheel for $50. Is that a good price?
