  1. yes, this Royal (654) has a front and rear optic sensor mounted to the inside frame of the machine, aligned with a reflector tab on the other side. no impact sensor.
  2. it wasnt an adjustment, it was a test to verify whether my optic sensors are working or not. Royal tech support walked me thru it based on the problems i was having.
  3. ran a test on the optic sensors today, seems that is my problem. i disconnected the sensor from the control board, turn the screw until the light went off, then did some test vends and the 3 to 4 cans dropped each time. i have new sensors on the way. fingers crossed.
  4. I talked to Royal tech this evening, he advised me to play with the optic sensors a bit. I guess there is one for each row and they could be out of whack. Going to tackle that tomorrow. Thanks for all the input!
  5. update: the machine is still driving me nuts. the drop sensor/chute is fine, not the problem. this machine has 3 depth settings, not 2 ... i can set it to single, double or triple depth (using 1, 2 or 3 in the menu) - all 10 selections are CANS but the front row is single depth, rear row is triple depth ... all of the depth settings are correct. i checked the STS settings and they are also correct ... but the entire rear row will still not respond. it WILL WORK in 'test' mode .. but not sales mode. i'm having a hard time getting ahold of the tech guy at D&S Vending so any further suggestions here would be great.
  6. Okay ... and I should have mentioned this up front, this machine has been humming along just fine for 3+ years ... no changes were made to any of the settings - it just started acting up.
  7. Greetings. Hoping someone can help. All of the sudden my Royal BACK ROW stopped working altogether ... and when the front row vends, it drops 2 or 3 drinks at a time. I assumed that the control board had gone bad so I replaced it, that didnt help. Any ideas?
  8. hey y'all ... i have a 4' x 49" brand new roll (still in the cardboard shipping tube) of tough front. i no longer need it and hate to throw it in the dumpster. if you want it, you can have it for free if you'll cover the shipping. let me know.
  9. People talk about their bottled water jamming up but I have had very few problems with this. I sell 20oz Deer Park and cannot remember the last time I had a crush or jam.
