  1. Hi Lacanteen,

I'm writing you because you have given me some good advice in the past and I am seeking your help yet again. I came across two starter locations 30 mins from my home and I wanted your feedback on them.  The first location (PICS 4,5,6) was listed for $900 USD, the seller claims that the location makes 45-50/week, which isn't much, but it something I guess. The second location (PICS 1,2,3) was listed for $2250 USD and the seller claims the location makes $90-$110/week. He doesn't have sales records to back these claims, but the price is negotiable. He also said the locations slow down during the winter months (DEC-MARCH), is this a normal trend for this industry?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated, thank you.

I hope these machines are in Canada, because only 1 of them has a bill acceptor. The top pair, is a no-go. The snack machine is an A/P 4500 circa 1981-1984, is only 5 trays and no updates other than black vinyl. The drink machine is an old Vendo and not worth messing with unless you already operate them. Total equipment value is less than $300. $900 is 40% of annual revenue, which is reasonable, the age of the equipment drags the value down a lot. I would pass on this one.

The other snack is a 5-shelf A/P 7000 in original form (circa 1985-1989) is a good solid work horse, but needs updates to enable card reader. That machine as-is $400 max. The bottom drink machine appears to be a Dixie Narco 501E, early to mid 1990s and should be easily upgraded for cards. $500-700 as-is. At 45% of annual revenue, it's reasonable, but only for newer equipment, and only if the numbers can be proven. Also, I would question the ownership of the Coke machine. $1500 would be my top dollar with more info.

Yes during the holidays vending machines do slow down!

Even here where it not even as cold where you are.

The Vendo with waterfalls look nice it's to large for location, snack machine to. The second location with Dixie Narco 501E and AP machine is a decent location.

So neither location kept any account of what there sales was? Offer less money because of that! When people sell locations like this, it's for a reason "Slow Sales". If you need the larger machines for other location, buy it. If not and you still buy, swap out machines for smaller ones.

Also post up on TFV so you can get other people ideas about locations.
