  1. When I say 2nd power board..... Two separate machines in separate locations. So nothing to do with the other. But yet, how does this happen that the boards go bad? $350 repair for each. So far. Why are USI boards able to be fried?
  2. I just replaced the power board. Went in one day and the motors were all rotating constantly. Little by little continually rotating. So, ordered a new power board, replaced and the motor problem is fixed. However..... Now it doesn't heat the water. Display shows drinks inhibited and when I spray the water it's room temp. Called Vendnet. Of course there's one guy there who knows coffee. He was stumped. Thought I should turn the machine off and on 5x to fill the tank.... The machine has to be at a certain level of water to initiate heating. Well, tried that. Nothing. No yellow light by the power button. When I spray water into the bucket I hear the water refill the tank. His next thought was the temp probe went bad. Hmmm. Seems weird that the probe goes bad the exact time the power board went out. I've yet to try a new temp probe. Certainly seems like it's power to the temp probe or that system. Evidently though there's no relay test to run to check that? To see if there's power running to it. Any other ideas? This is a 3 year old machine. This is the 2nd power board replaced this year on 3 coffee machines I own. How does that happen #1. And #2 what's the cure for this machine? A fuse out? Something else blown? If so, why? Out of the blue? It's been on the same location for the entire life of machine Thanks
  3. I will never buy another coffee of any kind. But I'm stuck with this one. Hmm, when I took the assembly out I had to unplug just one connector....nothing from the board directly The switches were never touched directly. You just remove a couple screws on the housing that holds them in place. And it's foolproof to put the housing back in right spot. Now... The connectors.... Are you saying the wires to connect to the motor? There's 2. I think it was a brown and then a striped one. I believe i put them back on the same way. It does seem reasonable to assume that we're now looking at the switches. Something is telling that motor to keep turning. It should turn once and get to home position. It turns 4 times. But that original motor surely was bad too. So it needed replacing. Seems weird that somehow the switches are bad at the same time. So yeah maybe there is something backward when reconnecting.
  4. Boy, has this one been frustrating. It's a Model 3205 fresh brew. Made in 2018. A workhorse machine until it gave a brewer fault error. The motor that makes the brewer go up and down was grinding, struggling to turn. Here's that video.... After a disaster of 2 weeks with VendNet trying to reach someone who knew anything about coffee, they told me it's the switch or it's the motor. Surely sounded like the motor. I tried the switch. (There's two side by side switches. I only tried one) No change. Still grinding. I replaced the motor. Doesn't grind now. Seems to work great. However it still gives me a fault. It can't find the correct position it seems. Here's the video.... Right now I have these vids sitting in the Inbox of a guy at Vendnet that knows coffee. Haven't heard back. So I thought I'd try here. Thanks
  5. And have the door open when you're testing. Hit the selection number and bend down and watch that motor and product. See if it's actually hitting the chute or not. Do it over and over and over. And yeah like AZ said, it could be people there lying about it. Is it a new account? Who knows. People there could be jerks. Know exactly the product and money you left. I had this happen years ago. It took me back and forth, adjusting product, adjusting the sensor, adjusting the chute. Over and over, seemingly forever. Eventually I got it figured out. Sucks it's like that. A new machine should work better. Vendnet beyond sucks. I've been dealing with them for a month on coffee machines. Ps....never get a coffee machine. Lol
  6. hi   do   you  still  have  the  custom  honor   boxes  ?     watch  your  video    loved  what  you  did  in  the  design  of  them !     would  love  to  get  some  from  you ?   please  let  me  know   if  you  have  any   and  or  still   order  them  ?

  7. I assume you have a charity aspect with the boxes? Do you think that helps you get into places? Do you mention that at all when dealing with shortages? As in, do you bring it up again like "Your box was short, we can't donate as much to charity, etc...." Stuff like that. Or do you not really get into the charity part of it again after placing the box? Thanks.....just trying to figure out the best way to deal with high shortage rates.
  8. How do you buckle down on the shortage? Just pull it if shortage is high? How long do you give them to get better?
  9. say the number says 021. They were manufactured on the 21st day of the year. So, you've got about 30 days from there unless they were frozen. Honestly I've tried them after 45 days and they're just fine. No one buying them can decipher the date so it's fine. When you buy at sams they do have a date on them. They just put 30 days after they put them on the shelf I sell them fast enough I don't even pay attention to the dates. I have pulled them when the icing gets a little smeared in the summertime
  10. Thanks AZ. Yeah, it is a monster. Thinking if I can get $750 trade value out of it I'll be happy.
  11. I was doing some googling on the 3155 combo. I'm in need of doing some rearranging as a current location is expanding. After moving some things around I'll have the combo machine as an extra. So considering selling it or storing it. Mine is not in the greatest of conditions. 1300 was a bargain on this 4 years ago looking at the posts above. Well, what about now and what about for a machine that has two motors out of service along with a good amount of rust on the shelf runners and just crap built up under the drink drop tray. It sits in a place that mixes chemicals and what's in the air is not good for machines. It could be cleaned up with a solid days of work off site. It cools fine, runs fine, working bill acceptor, coins, etc. Basically could I still get 1000 for it. Is that reasonable to ask or even as a trade value? Maybe even trade for a working snack machine? (Which is what I need) Thanks - just thought I would ask for opinions after seeing this thread already started.
  12. 7up recently changed their 16.9 bottles. The shape changed a bit and the bottle is a bit more sturdy. It's great. They used to jam every now and then and stacking more than about 10-12 got dicey. Now I'll go 16 high or so with no problem I like cans for the profit margin, but bottles can bring you more overall profit. If a person is going to buy one drink a day and they buy a can vs. a bottle then you make less on that person. Absolutely choose a machine that can do it all, if you can. Variety is key. Those machines can vend about anything. I have 10 oz orange juice, 16.9 oz water, Monster, 20 oz gatorade, coke can, 24 oz Mountain Dew, 16.9 oz green tea, 16.9 oz 7up among others all in one location. Whole lot better than just the usual. They ask for it - they get it. Agreed - if they have always had cans, they won't adjust too quickly to a bottle for twice the price. But, if you can use a bottle machine. Then use a couple selections to introduce a bottle. Especially in the summer, maybe try a gatorade. Grocery stores usually always have 8 packs for $5 (20oz). That's 62 cents per. You'll easily get $1.25 out of that bottle. See how it goes.
  13. Dogcow - You said a while ago you bought into some penny candy honor boxes. How have those gone? And on the honor boxes...are you still at about 15 locations? I have a buddy that asked me if I knew of any part time work. I told him I have been wanting to try these honor boxes. I just don't have the time with a full time job and seven full serve vending locations. So, the plan is to get this going in the next couple of weeks. I appreciate all the info here to get things going. I may have missed it somewhere but is there anyone on here that has at least 50 of these honor boxes out there? My plan is to get up to that number and keep everyone here updated on the progress to "pay a little forward"
  14. Yeah, the candy wheels I see the springs sitting upright...probably 8-10 of them. OK - I'll keep playing with the acorns. Looks like gumballs and candy work just fine.
