  1. I will do that as soon as I get back to one of these machines. I have put 4 out so far and I have 2 left to setup.
  2. Its possible that the proper rear spacer would resolve that. These bottler machines have no diagrams inside to give precise directions. I need to download the PDF manual. While that's not terrible, I wish the most basic, simple directions were posted inside. I might be unreasonable here but that's how I feel. However, it's still the best stack vendor out there hands down.
  3. I'm just not a fan of having to use all top 3 buttons, horizontally, and button 4 which is below button 1. It makes for interesting results when I'm in a hurry. For the energy drinks, I'll have to retest but we kept getting double vends until the slider was placed basically in the middle.
  4. Dixies misreport with certain eproms but .41 is good.
  5. It's a cantaloupe engage currently. It only wants a chip anyway, but even if I had a g11, you can't fully swipe a card because it's in a depression. I think simply making the bubble front like previous models would resolve this (flat metal on right, bubble front on the rest). I also don't care for the confusing button setup but that's a minor issue. Also, I guess a factory worker used an impact to screw the 11/32 nuts on so tight that they actually imbedded in the bill acceptor where the studs are lol. Not a design issue though. Overall, the 721 is fantastic. If I could recommend one simple change (not including the card reader issue), it would be to put some kind of marker or point of reference on the bottom rotor so you know where to put the slides for 16oz energy drinks. We sell so many but it's hard to see well when we prep the machines. We just test vemd it to confirm the slide is good for 3-deep but it seems simple to put a mark on the rotor.
  6. I was told this by a refurbisher last year, but someone else said it wasn't true so I don't know. I wouldn't be surprised though. I'm considering phasing mine out for 721s. The 721s are far better for me at this point. Although I absolutely hate the design of the bubble front 9 select machine. It's about impossible to swipe a card no matter where you put the reader except when it's directly on the plastic.
  7. Actually, if it's column 2, then column 1 and 2 might be linked together. If so, it still doesn't make much sense. I don't know what the normal setting number is but it's the one to the left of the 2 notches
  8. If it's truly every 4th purchase, that doesn't make much sense at all but it sounds like your motor is coasting. If so, it shouldn't truly be every 4th vend but it should happen somewhat regularly, like every 2 vends.
  9. LAI is a good source for locks. I think abloy are really good as long as they aren't the crescent locks. Those locks aren't bad, but if you get unlucky with the design of them, they can break. They make a different shape (key looks almost like a square) that is much better IMO.
  10. I really highly doubt your idea will solve anything. Thieves seem to be really smart or really dumb. The dumb ones will break into your machine regardless of what you do. The smart ones will notice that it takes cash during the day. Even if they see you take the money out at the end of the day, the smart ones know that they just have to get there at the right time before you do, and those smart ones simply won't break in if they know it doesn't take any cash whatsoever. So yes... your best option is to remove the mech/validator from the machine and post a big sign that explains that this machine is cashless.
  11. I'd guess that Vistar would have that. Possibly uline. It's not something I think most of us deal with on this forum.
  12. Having two problems like that are the hardest to diagnose. I'm glad you got it fixed
  13. I have found that people won't pay 100% markups. Since cheap coffee is pushing $28/case and namebrands are in the realm of $40/case, businesses just won't spend $50+ on cheap coffee or $80+ on max/folger because there are sources online to have it delivered much cheaper. It's unfortunate that it's like that nowadays but I think covid really drove delivery services up and now OCS is something you have to do as a package deal with vending to really make it worthwhile. I shoot for getting $5-$10 per case. Big companies around here have the driver drop off the coffee with their regular service cycles and the push is to do OCS, water, and other services in addition to regular vending. The margins are getting much thinner but they can make it work that way.
  14. I did regular snack/drinks at a couple laundromats but the owner did his own machines for everything else. One was in a low income area. It was pretty busy but kids always put trash into the machine jamming it. People would shake the machines regularly, there were a couple attempted breakins, etc.. They did okay but not good enough to deal with that.
  15. I use vendsoft and it's working. I don't know what he's talking about. Having said that, it's the only one I have used and I'm happy with it. The $1 per month is per machine. I think it's worth everything penny considering what the card processors want to do the same thing.
