  1. Greetings! I have a Crane 637 bean to cup coffee machine that was working well, but had to be shut down for about 4 weeks. The machine had to be shut down because the tank was registering 212 degrees, making that thing sweat inside. The tank got so hot that it caused a rubber ring to leak down the back, with water entering the electrical connection directly behind the canisters. I think a bit of water was getting in there causing occasional shorts. I replaced the triac, which took care of the heating problem, and replaced the rubber ring to stop the leak. I'm not sure of what the electrical connection behind the canisters is for, but I feel maybe the brewer jam could be related to this situation. When fired back up, I got a Brewer Jam showing up on the display. I removed the brewer, and it seems like everything is good. I ran a brewer test without the brewer, and saw that the drive connection to the brewer was not turning. Any ideas? I'd hate to take that back panel off, and possibly make things worse.
  2. Anyone know of anyone selling coffee vending machines in the Bakersfield, CA area? Looking for something like a Crane 673.
  3. Thanks for the input. I'll dump the BA's and Mags, change over to MEI/Mars equipment.
  4. Any suggestions on where to send Coinco DBV's for quality repairs? Thanks
  5. Had the brewer rebuilt, now everybody gets a full cup of coffee. Thanks AZ for the guidance.
  6. After checking the compressor, which runs for 2 seconds, then backing off the grind 1 notch, I ran a test cup. No difference. I put my hand under the brewer and felt a hot amount of water discharging into the ground bucket, but the grounds did not seem abnormally wet. I believe AZ's suggestion that the brewer is losing water. How should I proceed?
  7. Thanks for the response AZ, I'll check air pressure, then grind today, and post the results. Thank you.
  8. I recently acquired this machine and put it on location. Everything seems to be working just fine, other than, the 8 ounce coffee, and 12 ounce cup of coffee does not fill the cup all the way, it's a good 3/4 inch from being filled, unlike all the other selections which seem to be working just fine. So far, I've increased the water throw times for these two selections, without any difference to the water level and also increased the flow rate on the water valve attached to the hot water tank, still no difference. I'm believing that the valve itself may be the issue. D&S has the complete valve for about $40. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
  9. I'm not a USI/Wittern fan. They service just like an other machine, work about the same as any other machine, however, the supply line for parts is pretty much through their small network, which makes parts hard to get and expensive. Because the bottlers are customers of Dixie Narco, Vendo, and Royal Vendors there are an abundance of parts available for those brands of machines everywhere. I don't own any USI machines, but service an account that owns about 10 USI 3545 machines when they have problems. The majority of problems are the cooling decks. I have a guy that does refrigeration for me, and he has never had any issues that could not be resolved. I'm also not a fan of dropping carbonated drinks from a shelf to the delivery bucket. Really, I think it all comes down to what choice you want to make for your equipment, I tend to purchase the same brand of equipment for uniformity, but I have bought a machine or two that was different from the rest, simply because I couldn't pass on a good deal.
  10. Thanks for the word, I’ll go with the 673 fresh brew.
  11. Does anybody have an opinion about putting a refurbished Crane 637 coffee machine in a high volume account? Thanks
  12. Forgive the question please, which harness should I order?
  13. Is there another validator that I can use in an AP 111, with a Coinco 9300-L, other than a Coinco Mag50 SA? Thanks.
