  1. Hi all. 👋 I just bought a used V540 and am at a loss of how to set up the machine properly. I am looking for a manual, any idea where I can find one? All I can find is stuff about the v-max, but that is not the same thing right?
  2. I just purchased a Vendo 821. I’m thinking of running 8 12oz selections, 16oz energy, and a 20oz water if possible. Since the whole machine has to be switched to either cans or bottles it probably isn’t going to work. Just hoping there might be a work around because I want to put a water option in one column.
  3. I am trying to replace the compressor in my old Pepsi vending machine but I am having trouble determining the model. Can anyone help me out?
  4. Hello there all you Vending people I've been cleaning up an 'old' Vendo 75X and trying to get it running again to use it in a private setting on a Western Ranch. The Machine had been sitting there for several years and collected about an inch of dirt (inside and outside) so I started of by taking everything apart and cleaning it up before reinstalling everything. Everything seemed to work out fine except for one vending motor which seemed to be unwilling to make a full rotation. After operating the axle switch a couple of times the unit just showed "empty" and was unwilling to work anymore. swapping the motor unit to another position just made matters worse also rendering that selection useless... long story short, now all 5 selections show "empty" while the motor units work when I power them from a separate source, the diodes on the motor units check out, the switches work as they should... it seems to be a problem with the Operating Board now but for the life of me I can't figure out what went or is now wrong Does anybody have any good ideas? Might anybody have the Vendo 75X operating manual or schematics? Operating Board p/n BB01 2198FC05 (googling this brings me to a Polish website which claims to repair "empty" indicating boards for €90 so it can't be a huge issue I guess)... Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks everybody
  5. Hello there. I just purchased a very cheap soda machine this morning, and instantly thought I should probably check in with the vending geniuses you are to find out what I should or shouldn't do with it. I'm a total newbie with one day of experience with any machine. I quickly found out the machine I thought I was going to be able to replace parts on is fairly rare and doesn't look to have replacement parts anywhere (just my luck). It looks to be a Vendo 354, six soda machine that accepts coin only. It runs and keeps drinks cold, but it needs lots of love. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to keep it alive, but I'm not sure commitment alone will save it. Do any of you guys have any resources or recommendations for a parts supplier on this model? Any info would be greatly appreciated as this specific unit seems to have eluded the all knowing Google Gods. I'm excited to learn about these machines and can't wait to see what you all have a well.
  6. Hello, i have a Little Problem with My new and First Vendo, If I turn on the age query on the machine, close the machine again and then want to buy something, it shows that the selected compartment is empty If I turn off the age query everything is normal
  7. Hello, I’m looking for 2-3 Gate Links for a Vendo VMAX Part # 388632. Tried several of the usual parts suppliers with no luck. Any ideas?
  8. Hello! I am a new member but thought this would be the best place to ask my question. I recently picked up a Vendo Pepsi machine and apparently it is a Keyless entry. How does one actually get into a Keyless entry vending machine?? I got it off an auction so they couldn't answer my questions. See machine specs below. Vendo Pepsi commercial vending machine with keyless entry Dimensions : 39X34X72 inches Model : 511PCD00160 981207 Voltage : 115V
  9. First of all just want to acknowledge how great this site is. Has helped me on my journey of vending with my first questions regarding vending machines at age 17 up until now at 24. Would love to see this as an app somehow. Really think it would help the future generations of vending and make it easier to navigate with mobile devices. I come to ask a few questions though. I’ve grown a small vending route alongside different jobs that I’ve worked the past few years but now I’m having trouble keeping up with everything smoothly while I still keep up working with my other business. So nonetheless I need to clean things up in order to help my route run smoother with less stress. Question 1: Labeling keys? I’m getting confused with all these keys. I have 4 locations with snack and soda machines in both and I’m working on a 5th location. How can I label the keys/ tell them apart?? Question 2: Hand truck? What should I use to bring snacks and drinks inside and out? I usually just carry things in and out but I feel like it makes the route run longer and me more tired. I need something to make this part simpler. Question 3: Inventory tracking?? How can I keep track of vends with locations that don’t have cc readers?? I’m never sure what products are moving and how fast, so I usually just bring everything. Is there a device or software that can help me know how much of what to bring and how often? Question 4: Route runner? Ideally I want this route to be sufficient enough to have someone stock the machines for me and I be able to just service/ maintenance them when need be. How does that work? Has anyone hired someone? Did you trust them to deliver all cash or did you pickup cash separately? Please feel free to answer all of the questions or only specific parts if you’d like. I appreciate all of you guys responses and help. This community never lets be down. And hopefully this will help someone else that comes along.
  10. Hello all, first time poster. I was recently given a Vendo V 475 with a custom wrap. It was formerly set up as a Pepsi machine. My friend was able to wire a toggle switch to allow "Free Vend". My problem is I have zero experience in even how to stock this thing, I wanted some of the racks to contain standard 12 oz cans, but I wouldn't mind if I could add another for a red bull style can. It has 5 can slots and 3 bottle slots. Any and all help would be appreciated with stocking this to maximum capacity. My thought is, If its completely full, the compressor wont have to work as hard and will be more energy efficient.
  11. New here and I received a Vendo 570 for free. The guy before said it comes on sometimes. From my research it’s the same or similar to Vendo 480 judging by the manuals. I think I narrowed the problem to the relay or the socket. From what I can tell, a wire has been replaced on the socket. I believe it’s wire 10 on the socket. When I plug it in it will turn on but shut off shortly. I unplugged the coin mech to see if that makes a difference and it doesn’t. It also looks like someone tried to make it free vend judging by the spliced wires and switch. So any ideas or leads on where I can get a new socket and or relay? I included as many pics as I could. Thanks in advance! Pics
  12. So I have a Vendo 721 soda machine that I am trying to get a Parlevel Nayax card reader working in but so far no go. The card reader takes the money no problem and the machine gives credit but freezes saying you have $5 credit but will not vend anything and the only way I have been able to clear it is to unplug the system. I called Parlevel and after being on the phone for hours they say it is not their system. The soda machine is communicating with the card reader as it shows how many coins and cash it thinks it has (in the Parlevel system) as well as the Vendo shows you have credit after the transaction clears. It is not just a one off either as the system can vend from cash or coins no problem, but as soon as you run a credit card it just freezes up showing $5 credit. I was told by Parlevel that my Eprom might need to be updated, below is a picture of my board and eprom. I called Vendo and their parts department said they no longer support the Vendo 721 and the Vendo guy laughed at me saying these things are so old just buy a new system... As stated earlier this machine works great, I just need it to work with my credit card system. I sent Parlevel my pictures and they said I had it set up right. If it is the Eprom where do I go to get the download? I have not factory reset the system yet, would that do the trick? I need some help guys, please and thank you!
  13. Hello, I have a vendo 511 and one of the columns sells Monster and it takes 2 cans. Due to slow sales, I want to change that to regular pop and that column can take 3 cans. When I removed all the Monster and put the regular cans and increased the length of the column, the machine will spit out 2 cans on the first purchase then 1 can after. But I need it to spit out 1 can at a time. So how can I reset it so that it recognizes I have 3 cans and needs to spit out 1 at a time?
  14. Hey guys, I recently bought a Vendo 511 beverage machine. Being that I use 16.9 oz bottles of soda in a lot of my AMS machines, I always have this size on hand. Can anyone point me in the right direction as far as shims or spacers that I would need to vend 16.9 oz bottles properly? I'm fairly new to these machines specifically so I'm not sure which parts I would need, thank you.
  15. I have a Vendo model 407 that will no longer accept coins. I’ve done extensive troubleshooting and also had a repair guy over with no luck. Here are all the details I can recall. Thanks in advance for any advice….. The machine had been working fine but occasionally would not accept a coin. Reinserting it twice tops would do the trick. When it finally stopped accepting I took apart and cleaned the coin mech thoroughly. That did not help. Around this time, on more than one occasion, my sons put cans of Mich Ultra in the machine. These cans are too skinny and get stuck after the first “drop.” On each occasion I had to manually turn the drum to get the cans out. It was about then that the coin mech stopped accepting. I believe it’s a coincidence based on the following evidence, but it was worth sharing. I had a soda machine tech come over and look. He first tried putting in another coin mech, but that didn’t work. It still wouldn’t accept coins. He next figured the relay had gone bad, so he tried another one. That didn’t do the trick either. He tested the drum rotation (at one point one was not working, but swapping and re-attaching connectors got it going again), which ultimately worked fine. So - not the coin mech or the relay. All drums in “ready to vend” position with at least one column containing cans to dispense. He had with him a stand alone relay which he could plug directly into the A/C plug in the machine, which he then attached to the original coin mech. It was basically an old timers test tool for diagnosing as we were. When he connected that to the coin mech and inserted coins, it DID accept them. Hence the coin mech was working. I ordered a “new” relay and put that in, but no change. At this time I came to realize there was an LED light in the TOP of the coin mech that would come on when he attached his testing device, but that would NOT come on when the coin mech was attached to the machine’s relay. This was consistent across all combinations of mechs and relays. When attached to the tester, all appeared fine. When attached to the machine, it was not. My theory here is that the LED in the top of the coin mech is the “ready to vend” light. When it’s on, all is well. When off, the machine is not ready. The testing device just assumes everything else is good, and is really only testing the coin mech. But when the coin mech attaches to the machine, SOMETHING is saying that it’s not ready. I have examined the wiring, as best I can, all the way from the mech to the relay and also back to the area with the drums and dispensing. Nothing seems amiss. All drums rotate properly and appear to be in the “ready to vend” position. I have looked at the connections up by the coin mech, and those all appear sound. When testing I always make sure at least one column has cans to vend (or remove the spring so the column thinks it has cans). I’ve unplugged and replugged every connection around the drums. I’ve examined the switches behind the buttons on the front of the machine. All appear to be ok, though I’m a touch skeptical of one or two of these - that they may be stuck in the vend position. However, one has done that many times over the years and never stopped the process. I believe that’s everything. Thank you for taking the time to read my novel. I will be checking back a few times a week and will gladly perform any tests suggested and provide more information as needed.
  16. I just bought my first machine, Vendo 511, im trying to set the price, i press the mode button 3 times, go to Cost. I Choose the select button i want and set to $1.50 however it will reverse to $1 , what im missing? Every selection is now $1. Tnx
  17. I need your help on a Vendo 601. I keep getting error 1 on random columns, sometimes all columns without an actual jam or motor “coasting”. I’ve replaced the motors, motor switches, selection switches, board, Bill and coin, checked for obvious harness/wiring issues and removed the light bulbs. Most of my Vendos will have an occasional error 1 on only one column from time to time but this particular one goes thru horrible stages of all columns jammed then works flawlessly for several weeks then back to error 1 on all columns. To clear the error code I have been holding the motor switch and pressing the inner door switch to rotate the motors.

    From the album: Vintage Stuff

The Vendo V-83 Coca-Cola Vending Machine The V-83 has the distinction of being Vendo’s first coin-operated, upright soda vending machine to be mass-produced. Like all other Vendos, it was made exclusively for the Coca-Cola Company and was produced from 1946 to 1955. There were more of this model machine made among upright Vendos, than any other machine up until 1960. Image property of and copyrighted to Vintage Vending Inc.
