Vendstar coin mech jam

Make sure the cover that is on top of candy chute (the part where the quarters tend to stack up) is not bent or malformed in any way. Sometimes people will jam their fingers up the chute and dislodge or break that cover especially if the machine no longer has chute doors. This can cause the coins to catch more often thus causing the jams. The 3000s always have had this issue but to be honest I have had very few jams with these clunkers over the years so I never tried to mitigate the problem (like the hose cut in half). The 6000s actually have a rounded tube under the coin mech so this problem is greatly reduced.

QikVend is right, outside of having a broken or malformed chute (as noted by gumball guy), there is a quick fix with bicycle (or similar material) tubing. If you look at VS 6000 component pictures you are essentially trying to replicate that concept. The VS 6000 jam a bit as well but not to the extent of the 3000. Depending on your quantity of machines in may be in your best interest to retrofit your machines.

To fix this, grab yourself a little bit of 1/2" tubing (you can buy it by the foot at Lowes, Home Depot, Ace, etc.) and cut it into chunks, then chop it in half. Secure it to the top of the chute cover, and it deflects the quarters without interfering with the mechs operation. However, if you have a Vendstar that has enough volume to jam like that, you might consider swapping in a hardier triple. Good luck!
