Sgolembiewski0903
Hi all! On one of my Royal Coke Machines (can and bottle) I get a "door switch" error when the door is open. When I close the door everything seems to work fine. I have not seen any problems with the machine... should I just ignore this error?
AZVendor
If you get that error when you open the door will the machine go into the service mode? When you close the door does the machine erase any sold outs? You may need to empty a column, close the door and try to vend it to get the sold out message, then open and close the door and see if the sold out is reset. If it's not then you need to replace the door switch. The same holds true if you can't access the service mode when the door is open. Another switch problem indicator would be if you are in the programming and you close the door, if the display doesn't then switch to the vending display such as zeros then the switch isn't working. Even if the machine works fine you probably need to forcibly erase the error and see if it returns. If it does then there is something wrong with the switch that the logic board is detecting. It could be a wiring issue between the switch and board or maybe some arcing inside the switch.
Sgolembiewski0903
Thanks AZ! As a person who is not as handy as some other vendors I must say.... as helpful and in-depth as your reply was.... it's intimidating! I will look at your suggestions when I visit the account.. DO you know how to forcefully remove an error code?
AZVendor
If the error still exists when you next open the door then all you have to do is press your Enter button (one of the 4 select buttons used for programming) which should be button 4 and the machine will display the first error stored. Pressing Enter again will display the sub-code or explanation of the error. While that is displayed you can erase the error by holding the Enter button for 2 seconds.
