Snickers Posted July 9, 2017 Share Posted July 9, 2017 Have a 501T with an old style S2D board-it has 57x521-3 as the chip. Will eprom 381.41 go in place of it? I'm needing to put a cc reader on it. AZVendor Posted July 9, 2017 Share Posted July 9, 2017 You may need to change the board to a newer version if yours has a red mode button which most with that eprom have. That board is from back when Ardac made the boards for DN. That eprom may fit and work but if it doesn't fit then you know to change the board to the newer version with a blue mode button and harness sockets on the face of the board. Come to think of it you might not be able to fit an MDB harness on the red button board anyway. Have you tried that? If you only get a scrambled display then you will need to change the display output from the board to switch between the 7 and 14 segment outputs. Snickers Posted July 9, 2017 Author Share Posted July 9, 2017 Yes a red button board. Out of curiosity I plugged in a PayRange device and made a vend from my phone. Got the chip from a S2D board laying here at the shop. Also found a brand new refurbished SBC board with no chip in it and a Coke S3D board. Previous owner got a few of these back in the day and I'm glad to get it cleaned up and back on the streets. These coming off would be free if you want to use them however they are starting to blister on the inside and the graphics are "falling" off. These machines were basically free back in the day if you bought so much product-I'm willing to bet that if you contacted FN (they have a website) you could probably get some new ones for free.
