Just wanted to show you what the 5 1/4" Jumbo Labels from BestBulkVending.net look like. Think these will increase sales? :) I think so.

These will put you a step ahead of that guy with the machine next to yours with a label cut off the package, and Scotch taped inside the globe.

The shipping was quick, and he's got pretty good prices... and they come laminated. Can't really beat that.

That is a good looking label. Now all you need is the price label ;)

I totally forgot about the price label in this head... I put them in the other ones, though. I think people are familiar enough with candy machines that it's pretty much assumed the price is $.25... unless it has two slots, then one could assume it takes $.50. :D

Ugh.......do we REALLY need that "nutritional information" on there? Other than that, they look nice.

Everyone KNOWS candy is bad for ya! Even if it is required by some safety nazi, I'm NOT putting it on my machines! Who is going to come and arrest me? :P

Hilarious, Profits, hilarious!

To answer your question, no, we don't REALLY need the nutritional information on there. It's not required by the law.

I designed these labels for my own bulk vending route while the Obamacare bill was still in the works. The actual law only requires "a clear and conspicuous statement disclosing the number of calories in the article", if the Nutrition Facts label is not available for examination. When I designed my labels, I decided to one-up the law and include the actual Nutrition Facts, which is an internationally accepted standardized format for disclosing nutrition information on food products.

I have devised a method for accurately calculating the Nutrition Facts for any weight of bulk vended product. Currently I offer them in three standard vending weights: 1/2 ounce, 3/4 ounce, and one ounce. I can accurately calculate the Nutrition Facts for any weight of vended product, and offer these custom labels in My eBay listings and at my Vendio web store.

Whether or not you are willing to comply with the law is up to you. I can't imagine that there will be any significant enforcement of this law in the bulk vending industry. I am inclined to believe that this is aimed at fast food and other restaurants, but as Angus pointed out in another topic, this law does not exempt bulk vending operators. Congress has directed in the law that the FDA shall establish the details of these labeling policies within 12 months of the law's enactment.

For those who are interested, the full text of HR3590, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is here:

The section related to restaurants and vending machines is on page 457.

As I mentioned before, the Obamacare 1099 reporting clause will have a much bigger impact on small business bulk vendors than anything else in the new law.

I think it's funny how people seems to have a separate cottage industry related to bulk vending. You and SweetStop sell vending lables. I'm looking in to making and selling wooden stands. I've even thought about selling online the whole set of collectable vending toys like the monkeys, etc.

You're on the right track, dperry! I have looked into the same things you mentioned, even going so far as touring a local foundry and machine shop, with the intent of fabricating my own parts. My route is small, so at this point I'm earning more selling labels than collecting quarters. But let me tell you, fabricating labels by the hundreds is so BORING, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy!

I used to sell the Tomy Gacha toys in sets. Each cap in the series had a differnt color so they were easy to pick out.

hey did well for me.

I to have looked into having made or making my own stands etc.

My label biz started from necessity and now like you bender I make more doing them than vending itself

I could also make alot from buying and selling used equipment, as I have in the past. If only I had the capital.

for not too far of a travel I can get used machines like they are going out of style. a hot bed seems to be Massachusetts which depending what part is only 1-3 hr drive for me
