  1. Must not because I can open door and insert a dollar and make a selection all with door wide open.
  2. Thanks, I'll try to check that when I'm back there tomorrow. It was working fine and has just in the last week or so started doing this. I know it used to get one of the spirals "off" sometimes but I'd insert money, make selection, and kill power switch when it got back near home position. So yes it does have the drop sensor activated because it used to pause, then cycle on around. Maybe we've pulled a wire loose to the door sensor.
  3. Like title says I can start a vend then turn off power to "reset" spiral to right resting spot, but next day it's off again. Tried only loading it up about half way (its a candy spot) to see if less of a load would cure it...but same thing. Bad motor, switch, or what?
  4. Thanks guys! Looks like stick with AP/Revision door used or look into AMS. Appreciate it!
  5. Sorry for such a basic question, but as a small vendor (who is also kind of old) I need some advise. I need to buy some snack machines and long ago my favorite was always Automatic Products. Then for past several years I've usually bought reconditioned AP's with the "Revision Door". What is your advise? Is there a new brand that is "top dog" is most of your opinions? Thanks for your help!
  6. Good advice, I'll check into that. Is the maintenance done at your location? Thanks.
  7. Thanks. Yeah it's something in the roller area only. I pulled one of the gears off the bottom of that roller assembly and motor was free, rollers were still locked up.
  8. Works perfect till time to shoot the paper around coin stack, then paper just wads up because the black vertical rollers are not spinning. Anyone know the trick(s) to getting into that sub-assembly so I can try to see whats causing this?
  9. Thank you very much! I'll look into what it will cost to convert it to MDB.
  10. If so, what combination of changer and B/A do you use?
  11. Years ago it used to be simple, after a short time in the business I came to the conclusion that Automatic Products was my favorite Snack machine brand. Mars was my brand for changers and bill acceptors. And I was a fan of Vendo drink machines. Now it's not so simple. So - Knowing what you know now, what do you think is the "best bang for the buck"? Considering kiosk cost, support, multiple ways for customers to pay, fee's charged for tech support, etc is there one that stands out from the rest?
  12. Yeah, 431...typo. Anyway I bought it just as configured, with the bill acceptor and changer that's in it. The PayRange device connected with no problem, but the LED inside the device stays red. Should be blue. So I don't know if there is something else I need to do, or if they won't work in a 431.
