  1. I’ve been a long time member and used to be a “daily user”, of this website back when I was rocking my 8-10 machine route and got 90% of my know-how from this group. I sold that off and moved blah blah. But I’ve come into a way to get ahold of a lot of pretty good quality toy guns that are key chain sized and fit into 2 inch capsules (all of the lower ones). There could possibly be more of this type of stuff too. I wanted to see if you all thought this would be worth while pursuing or not, knowing what’s hot these days and all. I’d appreciate any feedback from you pros!
  2. I'm sure this has been answered but I had no luck finding it. Are the small Carousel machines on the decorative looking black stands any good? What would you pay for one used if you're just starting? Thanks!
  3. Hey guys and gals, I have a quick question I want to run by you all. I am thinking about starting a side venture to my bulk routes. I am looking to see if there is interest out there for machine refurbishing. We have been in the business since 1956 and have learned some pretty cool tricks over the years. If this is something you may think would be viable please leave me a comment. I am just curious on whats out there.
  4. Hello, I am new to the forums and just introducing myself. My business is brand new so I am here to learn and post updates on my route to possibly help others once I figure out my way around.
  5. Just discovered that my local municipality has a permit requirement for all vending machines, seems like a one-size-fits-all sort of thing. The annual permit fee is $25 per machine, seemingly whether its a mainline soda/snack machine, or a little old gum-ball machine. I'm curious whether any of you have run into similar permit requirements where you live? That would break down to $2 per month coming out of each machine's net revenue, on top of a $1 charity sticker fee, which feels like a lot. Any thoughts?

  8. Hey everybody! First time posting here. Thanks for everything y'all have shared. I hope to contribute someday but I'm more of a pinball guy than anything. That said, I'm about to set a new location that wants a bulk rack and I would like to do it right the first time. I have the rack, it's a Northwestern with four 2" capsule machines at $.50 on top and five 1.1" $.25 capsule/candy on the bottom. Im not opposed to buying some mechs to sell higher priced items if they will work. I would like to do all toys as it is going in a restaurant. Can you guys please help me start out by letting me know what is selling well in your area? Thanks!

  12. Hello Anyone... I just found this site and need help.. I was going to buy 10 Terminator Uturn, bulk candy machines from Vend Tech...but need to know if anyone has experience with these machines...As I am brand new woman to the vending industry. I need machines that are very easy to service, as I am not tech savvy..... I am not sure if it is a good deal, if the machines are good, or if I can even get my investment back within a reasonable time frame. Apparently, they locate and deliver the machines to the various locations... Is there anyone that can point me in the right direction? Thanks so much for any help... Marianne

  15. Hi all, Anyone out there know any good distributors on Long Island, for bulk toy and candy products? I picked up some machines and need a local competitively priced place. Thanks
  16. Hi everybody, I posted here before...and decided to purchase 5 bulk vending machines...3 heads. 1 is for my nephew (he is 11 and wants to get into vending) and 4 are for me. I currently run a full service vending company and am doing very well. I am a medium sized company in MA (14 locations, about 45 machines placed and 6 in need of a home) I got these machines to: 1) diversify my business. I want to take over vending in my area in all aspects 2) test to see if bulk vending is a sustainable business. The costs associated are much cheaper than full service so I thought 4 machines is a good start to track numbers, growth, etc 3) shits and giggles. I figured if they don't make money, I will sell for what I bought for ($100 each) What advice can you guys give me about bulk vending? How often do you service? What is the average monthly income for this end of the industry? Where do you buy your product from? What sells best? Basically what do I need to know in order for these machines to grow my bottom line sales figure? Also this will help me get my nephews little business off the ground! (I took him out with me last Saturday...he LOVED IT!) If this works, I would love to grow the bulk end as aggressively as I am growing the full service end, and bulk seems much cheaper to scale. Thanks for your knowledge! Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow vendors!

  18. We now offer NO CONTRACT if you prefer! We now offer locations with out a contract! We are adapting to requests we get from time to time. If you prefer, you can now get locations without a contract with the ability to pay upfront! Every other company out there charges upfront for services. We now offer that for people that prefer that without an agreement! Our route expansion service will not change other than that. If you have special requests we will do the best to comply. This doesn't change the current way we do things, just an addition to. If you prefer receiving locations before paying we will always offer those services. We have added this new opportunity for those that don't like the agreement type restrictions. Same great service, same great locations, same great expansion! Vendinglocator4u
  19. We find Charity Bulk Vending Locations for your Candy Machines and Honor Boxes in high quality places with no money up front! We want you to feel safe knowing that you get to install your machine before ever paying a single cent. We only provide the best locations for your bulk vending business. We have been in bulk vending for over 12 years and involved in several aspects of it. We learned how to locate our own candy machines and have honed this skill to science over the years. This means that we have the experience to serve you better than any other bulk vending locator or honor box locator in the vending industry. Currently we still operate our route that is continually growing and changing. One thing that doesn't change is our commitment to quality and amazing customer service. We started our business because we didn't feel that everyone should have to pay upfront without knowing what type of locations they would be getting. We didn't want anyone else to be victimized by the pitfalls of dishonest “locator companies”. We offer a 60 day warranty on our locations! We will replace up to 20% for any reason with in the first 60 days. www.vendinglocator4u.com
  20. Hi everyone, I am new to the vending world but am in charge of placing cranes and bulk in new locations and I am looking for someone to give me ideas. I am hoping maybe some of you can tell me the steps to landing accounts and what places to target in my area. Maybe there are places that I can look into specifically that lost vendors or are looking to add machines? I am just not sure. thanks!
  21. hey everybody! I am new to the vending world.. figured I will start with bulk vending to start learning the ropes... I found what seems to be a good deal on craigslist for a route and types of machines... I would really appreciate any feedback, tips, questions to ask... honestly anything helps... If you have 5 minutes to talk on the phone to help me out, EVEN BETTER! I would really appreciate it! I will be meeting up with him tonight to talk about the route... The add pretty much states the following (the post expired or I would actually post it)... "$2500 for 12 machines already located... 5 extra machines to expand route... supposedly it grosses $400-$600 a month" Selling because this was a test route because he is in soda and snack vending but lives in another city... this is a commute for him to service... The Gross seems a little too good to be true (but then again I am new to this)... and feel it might be too expensive and says he doesn't have records or anything for poof of what they actually gross... he sent me an email with the type of location and type of machines located there... Here is the list of locations, with the types of machines: Dry Cleaners, Reeces, Bubble, Pnut, Mike&Ike. 4 selection UTurn. Corporate Office, Hot Tamales, Gum, Skittles, Pnut. 4 selection UTurn Dry Cleaners, HT, G, Pnut, Skittles. 4 selection Uturn. Real Estate office, Pnut, Reeses. Two head Oak. Real Estate office, Pnut, Gum. Two head Oak. Warehouse, Pnut, Reg M&M. Two head Oak. Machine Shop, Gum, Skittles, Pnut. Three head Oak. 22. I'm sort of wondering how the full timers scout locations. I waste quite a bit of time when I finally do get a chance to locate at prime time hours. Waste it simply driving around, seeing if places look busy enough for a machine, walking in just to find they have no room for a machine/their own machine/ some other machine. I figure if you're doing it full time you're probably driving all over the place, probably 100's of miles away from your house, so I know you can sit there and write down ahead of time all the best looking places to pitch (well at least i wouldn't think you could). So how do you go about selecting places? (BTW this is my method so far: 1. Google some place I've had my eye on 2. google "restuarants, barbershop, grocery" near that area 3. Head to my original place of interest 4. note any other places close 5. try them all 6. move on to next place of interest)
  23. Ok, I feel pretty dumb asking this, but...how do you pay commission? Do you count out your quarters and then break them off their cut? Can you use a scale and they'll trust your math? Do you have to pay while they're there or do most people trust you to be honest? I ask because if I have to make sure I only collect when the owner or manager is around, that might screw with my schedule. And I'm trying to figure out what the norm is? I found this thread: http://vendiscuss.net/index.php?/topic/3278-how-do-you-pay-commission-cash-with-receipt-no-receipt-or-check/ But i'm more interested in the actual procedure. Also I use a cheap $10 scale off ebay to count my money it's pretty accurate, and i'm not sure if the location will trust that i'm not cheating them.
  24. I'm making up a flyer/booklet to help in locating. I recently had a home security salesman come to my house, and he had this already printed up binder all laminated and what not with very few pages, basically showing some plans, some prices and had some bullet points for reasons to choose that company. I know that's nothing new, but it seems like something I want to try especially for my racks. Mainly because when I locate people seem to wonder the same things: 1. How much does it cost 2. What size machine i'm talking about 3. how does the whole thing work etc. I'm thinking of printing up something cheap and simple and having kinkos laminate it for me. Something like: No Contracts No liability (Picture of a rack in a location) .......And i'm drawing a blank for what else should pop out. Anyone have any ideas? (Also I swear I remember reading something like this already, but for the life of me I can't find that post, so if anyone see's it and post a link, that'd be great)
  25. I was wonderring if the wowie zowie was reliable. I bought one a few years ago and it did not work. I got my money back, but I would rather have a working machine. What is a fair price?
