  1. I'm sure this has been answered but I had no luck finding it. Are the small Carousel machines on the decorative looking black stands any good? What would you pay for one used if you're just starting? Thanks!
  2. So I'm looking to expand my bulk operation, I'm currently looking in: Staten Island Long Island Brooklyn Queens I am also open to New Jersey, Connecticut, and PA call m-f 10am-9pm or text with info 24/7 917-731-3891 9177313891
  3. Was driving home from work and found these on the side of the road with a free sign. Can somebody please tell me what they are. I know they are made by northwestern but aside from that I know nothing. Looking to find out a model or how old they are or value just anything. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you
  4. Hey Everyone, I bout this gumball machine the other day & haven't been able to find out who made this huge motherload gumball machine. It's got a crack in the globe at the top & I need to try to come up with a new globe & top cover for this. It has a big tumbler that looks like it came from the Creative Products company as I also bought the "Cyclone" gumball machine that the tumbler looks the same that was made by Creative Products. If I can't find the globe, I'm wondering if a local plastics company can make a custom globe to replace this, using a top cover from a different company. I've seen the huge coin mech online before somewhere. Is there a place where I can find more info about this machine?
  5. My dad just recently gave me some old coin operated vending items and I am curious in learning more about them and possibly selling a few pieces. He probably gave me roughly 10 northwestern gumball machines that he stated have been completely re-done and a few topps trading card machines. Any information on some of these pieces would be much appreciated. Looking forward to being a new member.

  7. Hello, I am from Australia and have managed to get a hold of a wowie zowie gumball machine. The entire machine works as it should except for the fact that for some reason the motor bracket for the screw which delivers gumballs to the top is missing. I have a working motor with attached gear box but no bracket to hold the motor up in place. Anyone know where i can get one from? I haver emailed DSM but the emailed bounced saying the support email doesnt exist, have they gone under? Cheers for any assistance.
  8. We are looking for a northwestern 60. We are located in the DFW Texas area.
  9. I was looking for more used machines and came across an ad selling a route and when I asked for more info I got sent to this http://vendingexchange.wixsite.com/gumball website. Sounds a bit to good to be true and most likely is but wanted to know if anyone has had any experience with them? Please let me know what you think tor know Thank you Mike
  10. When it comes to caring for your gumball machine, periodic cleaning is imperative, not just for appearances sake, but also for good hygiene. First, you want to make sure the machine is empty; make sure to throw away any product that has expired according to the manufacturer’s label. Second, for best results, clean your machine using a “dry clean” method. In other words, do not spray any chemicals or cleaners inside the machine. It can contaminate the new product when you restock. However, unscented alcohol-based wipes are acceptable, along with sturdy paper towels and nylon brushes. Do not use harsh cleaners (i.e. scrubbing powder or scrubbing liquid). Once you clean the machine, give approximately 24 hours for the machine to dry. Be sure to clean the corners of the inside of the machine. They are difficult to get to, but most bacteria and germs fester in those areas. For consistency, clean the outside of the machine utilizing the same method. It is important to clean the outside more often because it soils a lot easier. You can also polish the outside of the machine to remove any grease marks, fingerprints or to reduce the appearance of scratches. What do you use to clean your gumball machine? Take our online poll and let us know. We want to hear from you!

  14. I am just getting started at this, and we have visited over 100 potential locations in the last few weeks, with no successes. Typically it has been "contact our regional offices", and then the corporate office doesn't let us talk to anyone and instead makes us leave a message, and they never return the call. In case this is relevant, we are in a "college town" of 300,000 people, and have created a brochure with pictures of the triple head machines and the details of the commission/charity process and what benefits a machine can provide. I had read that cold calling typically is successful 10% of the time, but we are at 0% and things don't seem to be looking up. Anyone with similar experiences that they have overcome? At what point do we conclude there simply isn't a market for these machines in our area? Any suggestions will be very welcome. Thanks! John
  15. Just so everyone is aware, Oak Mfg has 40 or 50 rocket wheels in stock. That way you can run 1080 or smaller without issue or double vends!

    Jr. Giant

From the album: Performa Vending Machines

This is my monster-sized Victor Jr. Giant gumball machine. It has a spiral of sorts inside, and it's very eye catching. One of my biggest, tallest machines to date.
  19. My wife had a vendor at her business with an 8-1 UTurn machine dispencing toys.. They felt they could make more money elsewhere so are taking the machine out. We decided to do it ourselves, she wanted the same thing she had, so I found a couple of the 8-1 machines for pretty cheap. I will take one and put candy in it and place it by my desk at work, and she will fill the other up with the toys she as been doing. Here is my problem... I only have two of the gumball wheels used to dispence the toys and we need 6 more. We contacted UTurn and they ask CRAZY high prices for these parts. Does anyone have a good source for parts like these? Or does anyone have these wheels for sale? Your help is very appreciated. and I look forward to reading your comments and advise. Thank you Kimba I currently have two single machines at my desk that have skittles and hot tamallies, and I do between 5 and 10 $ a week. Everyone keeps asking for something different, so I figure the 8 in 1 should do pretty well.
  20. Well, I just got my first gumball machine set up today. I convinced the owner of the pizza restaurant I manage to let me get a new gumball machine and run it for her. I already have a 60-1 arcade table in the dining room since last March, so it was easy for me to convince her We currently have a double candy setup by a vending company, with the proceeds going to Jerry's Kids, but I have already asked that they be picked up during their next trip. They have had the same machines and charity cards for about 10 years, and the person who services them hasn't talked to anyone in our business in years. He just pops in, grabs the money and tops off the candy. When I called to ask them to remove the machines, they didn't even ask why or make any offers. Maybe they wanted to move the machines but didn't want to hurt our feelings I'll take pic of the actual machine in the dining room soon, but in the meantime here is a pic of the model I bought I stocked it with Double Bubble 1" balls, and mixed in a few black gumballs to redeem for prizes, "A Free Order of Breadsticks" is the prize we chose. Anyone have the same machine? Or any suggestions? Thanks Abram
  21. We have been working with a charity program to help restructure it and get it into hands that are very diligent about how smooth things run. I don't back something unless I believe in it and am willing to take the heat for it, so not many! We have used the charity before and had the best results I've seen from vending charities in general, but the person that ran the site before, wasn't good on communication or on sending items out when ordered as some of you have seen before. For us the locations went quick, better spots and some hard to get ones. We even offer a discount for locating the machines that are signed up with St. Judes and are Vendiscuss members. Any ways, you get the point. I had told a few members I would let them know first and give them a heads up first, and did, so now I'm letting everyone else know that vend2help is under new management and if you use St. Judes for the donations, the locations go in 10 times easier. No, I don't get anything if you don't use us to locate your machines, BUT I have received more from everyone on here that has helped me to restructure my vending business so it will be 10 fold anything I have in the past with less work and more profit, so I thought I would share. If you have any issues signing up or whatever, just let me know and I'll make a call to fix it. Thank you again everyone for your help. I will share anything and everything I can as you have done for me. Rodney
  22. We are currently running a special on Single AND Double head charity locations!! There is an extra charge for restaurant only orders or specialty add on's. Don't miss your chance before we add it to our site!!! Order NOW!
  23. Ok, so we need to fund TVF to make it self supporting. There isn't much left that needs to be raised, but it needs to be be on a continuous cycle so that TVF is self supporting not just a month or 2, but self supporting. This thread is started to bring the opportunity to the community to do it. It will remain a free site, so that's out. This is to brain storm and include everyone. Steve has done a great job of keeping it going this far and now needs for it to fund itself. It won't take a lot, and not looking to make extra, just to keep the wheels rolling. I have some ideas to start, but would like input..... 1. offer the suppliers section the opportunity to donate 5.00 a month or 50 a year to offer their services. 2. offer a space in an inconspicuous place for a credit company to place an ad on the site. 3. offer a space for adsence to place a add on the site. 4. charge everyone a small fee to post in the classifieds (not a great one I think. So to this point we have had this info for free for 8 years. My though is that my fellow members know how big this is to everyone and will help with at least the ideas. There is lots of business men out there that are smarter than I am by far. So lets hear it!!!!!!!!
  24. So I managed to Lay New Rails in my Vending Operation, Ive been so relentless in staking out amazing deals on machines in my area; Ive already managed to Stash away 34 Northwestern 60s 7 Northwestern 7s 9 Beaver Shootin hoops in my little apartment. I tell ya if you guys seen it you would laugh your asses off at my Tetris abilities. Finnaly Bought some Gumballs, And began Locating! So I filled a beautiful Bright Yellow Northwestern 60 Glass filled with Shinny Double Bubble Gumballs, packed it in a carry bag , and began the easiest 30 Minutes of locating ever. So with my bag I walk to the bank 4 blocks away to stop by to talk about some business, (specifically, Im buying my own Condo on the Beach of the Atlantic Ocean by Christmas It will be my first house, and I am very excited.) And also to provide my vending services for their Breakroom(Ive asked prior about the lobby area, but the said corporated don't like that.) So after saying hi to everybody in the bank(Im on first name basis with them all.), and showing them the beautiful northwestern, and asking them what they all wanted inside the single head ill have back there, they all want Peanut Ms. After all that fun stuff, I go to talk serious business with the banks manager; who is very sweet might I ad. We talk about the house, about some business Loans. I tell her about a deal im about to close on(Ill let you guys know after I close it, lol), which she seems very excited for me. She then tells me she will email corporated discussing the machine ill be placing back there, and will let me know what they say in a week. So then I ask her for a referral of anyone she knew who owned business in the area, she Gives me three names, She calls the first one, Ali the owner of a cell phone shop, but he didn't awncer. She then calls the owner of a salon across the street, but she explained the vending machine, and presentation very wrong.(God Bless her heart for trying though.) and they say no. Then she tells me about a guy who owns a resturaunt close by but I could not find him, and she doesn't have his number. So then I shake hands with her, tell her goodbye and was off to locate. I first go to the Salon across the street to clarift about what sort of service I offered, and the charity I work with. but she claimed its not a good place for it, and says no; after a couple more rebuttles, and probing abit(but not to deep to annoy) I leave. I then go to Alis Cell phone shop right down the road, and he was there chilling on the computer. I walk in and instantly say "are you Ali?!" enthusiastically with a smile on my face. He says "No, im his cousin, Ali is on vacation." I then say "Jen from Regions Bank sent me" So I give him my presentation, asking for a donation of space for The Childrens Home of my city(Local Charity) and Immediately, No questions asked he says "Yea, No problem, and told me where to put it." DING! So after getting my first location threw referral, I then was feeling HOTT, and IN THE ZONE! I walked abit looking at shops to provide my services to, and walk into another cellphone shop 1 block away, I walk in, straight to the counter while the owner is 4feet back on his computer chilling; Hey how are you doing today Him "Im doing Great, How about yourself" Me "Im doing phenonomel, thanks!" He then gets up from him desk, and we shake hands, and exchange names. I then give him my presentation, and he asks about a countertop stand, Luckily I had one so I confirmed, and told him id bring it there asap. After Dropping off the Machine to him with the countertop stand, he then says "hey, I have another cellphone shop 4 blocks away you can put one there, it has more space." GLORIOUS! So with my new location handed to me, I went to my crib and picked up a sexy northwestern 60 on a cast iron stand to drop off at the third cellphone shop. Pretty Great for my first day I think I plan to Locate some more on Monday, I tried abit today but think its not too great of an idea to locate Friday with all this tourist traffic, atleast not the restaurants I also Find That I like the color a lot more on Oakleafs bubble King more than Double bubbles. So from now on Im sticking with OakLeaf for my gum. Stay Tuned for more Adventures with Corbins Vending. Have a Blessed Day!.
  25. Hey everyone, Just a question about a used machine I am looking into buying. It is a Blockbuster spiral gumball machine with the logo on the globe and a beaver coin mech (not sure if beaver is normal for those machines). Asking price is $20 which I would gladly pay if it wasn't about 150 miles away from me to pick it up. I was wondering if it would even be worth it to make the drive or if I should just pass on this one. Also, there are no keys for it and the owner is unsure if it operates correctly
