  1. Hey guys, I recently bought a Vendo 511 beverage machine. Being that I use 16.9 oz bottles of soda in a lot of my AMS machines, I always have this size on hand. Can anyone point me in the right direction as far as shims or spacers that I would need to vend 16.9 oz bottles properly? I'm fairly new to these machines specifically so I'm not sure which parts I would need, thank you.
  2. Hey guys, I've been talking to Betson a little bit about the new AMS Steeley soda/ beverage machine. It's fairly new so I can't find a whole lot of information on it, as far as reliability goes. Anyone have any experience with one of these? I have several AMS snacks and combos on the road currently and I'm pretty happy with them. The Steely looks pretty nice cosmetically. Was hoping I could vend 16.9 oz bottles out of it.
  3. Hi, first post here, I'm trying to see if there is anyone that provides direct competition to Canteen on a national level? Is there anyone here that contributes to a National Vending Management Company that competes against them to help the independent vendors? I read some of the forums and gather that there are regional management companies but is there any groups nationally?
  4. I live in California and have decided to start a vending machine business. I have done a lot of research already but could use some tips if possible. I know that I need a license to have a vending machine in California. Also how much do you need to pay to allow your vending machine to stay at a place? Is it a percentage of your monthly sales where your vending machine is located or a certain amount? Do I just contact owners and ask if I can leave my vending machine there and then offer him a business deal? I am new to the business and would appreciate anything you have to say.
  5. I'm sure this has been answered but I had no luck finding it. Are the small Carousel machines on the decorative looking black stands any good? What would you pay for one used if you're just starting? Thanks!
  6. so ive seen these around, but i cant seem to find them, and all the places i looked, they are either out of stock or just way too expensive, can anyone help me with finding one of these please call or text me 9177313891
  7. Hey guys, I mentioned in an earlier post that I was buying 2 AP Revision Door machines. Anyway, I did get the 2 machines and put them on location. They are both 111 machines I believe, 5 wide. I have one that has 2 selections (110 and 118) both on the top shelf that are not working currently. Everything worked fine when I placed them. The VE board homes all motors when you open the door, but these 2 remain out of home and continue to say "not available". I haven't taken out the tray and switched it with another one yet, which I do plan on doing soon, just to start somewhere. Any ideas? Or has anyone run into this problem before? I have other VE boards that are not on revision door machines that never had this problem. I'm assuming it has something to do with the drop sensors? Also, these are dual spiral machines. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.
  8. Hey All, I'm new to the world of vending and I just wanted to make sure that a soda machine I was considering buying is decent and worth the asking price. It's a Dixie Narco 504P. I would only be using 12oz cans in the machine. The compressor is in good working condition. I think the coin mech and validator are also in good working condition, but they may not be based on the issues that the seller has been having with the machine (listed below). The asking price is $500, but I think there is room for negotiation if I'm armed with more info. Some selections give false "sold out" readings when they're not Some slots jam every few sales Occasionally gives wrong change or no change I'm not sure what is causing these issues, but I plan to look into fixing them if I buy the machine. Even tough I'm new to the world of vending, I'm pretty handy. I've attached photos of the machine as well. Thanks for any input you can provide!
  9. got the vendo n21 running, was running fine, had a critter to clean out, so when I was putting everything back, I saw a spark, didn't think anything of it, come to realize nothing on the door works, not power to the door at all, I have 110v going in, the fans are running, compressor is off, door is off.
  10. I have a v721 with the live buttons (12 large buttons) display, the lock is automatic, I lost power to the machine, checked the breaker on the cord, it is fine, but hot, I cannot get inside the machine, how can I get power to the machine to open the door? or how can I open the door?
  11. I recently came across, what I feel, is a good deal for 2 AP 113 snack machines refurbished with the revision door. I do like the AP 112 and 113's a lot as they were originally. These new ones will be ready for credit card readers also. Anyone have experience with this series of machine with the revision door? If so, I'm curious if you guys like them. Wondering if they are just as reliable with the door as they were factory original. The only problem I ever had with those AP machines was having to replace the harness that goes behind all the trays. Other than that, great machines!
  12. Hey guys, I found a guy selling this machine, he says it's a Bevmax 4. Anyone know if that's what this actually is? Price is 2900 which actually sounds low to me for a 4, any input is much appreciated, thank you.
  13. My coke machine started making a periodic clicking sound and is no longer cooling. Can anyone help me to decipher what is going on and what part(s) need to be replaced. Also, best places to buy parts online. Thanks.
  14. so I bought a vendo! I know, I know..... I set it up, the machine is fairly new, and in great condition, I changed the bill acceptor, there are 10 lines in the machine, and 9 buttons, I am slowly learning the machine menu, it vends everything perfect, except 1 selection, sometimes ill put $1, and it will not vend, so I put another $1, it then vends, the next time I put $1 in, it vends for $1, this happens every other time, on this one selection only. what is wrong with it? what do I need to do? is it something in the menu? 2. I do I remove force vend? when I put $1 in, and press coin return, it will not return, and force me to purchase, please help
  15. Brothers and sisters, Im a rookie at the vending machine business near San Jose and Pleasanton area of California, I'm looking for a reliable and efficient way to get started by starting reasonable and building up. Does anyone know any trustworthy vending machine programs or partnerships that I can join which can hook me up And help me with everything possible and give me some tips that lead to your huge success ?? I'm also looking for reliable low cost wholesellers for snacks and drinks?
  16. Okay everyone, I'm new here, and looking for help. I picked up a second hand Toy Soldier 46 Jumbo Plush Crane. It has a DBA installed and it works, but for more practical application I would like to install a coin mech as well. Does anyone know what type I can Plug and play in this machine? I believe it has special hookups for the harness, not just spade connectors. Any help would be awesome! I can post pics of my wiring if needed, and the door, but everything appears to be stock.
  17. Hello. So I will be purchasing a claw machine just like what is pictured in this post. I have an almost 3 year old daughter that is now almost obsessed with claw machine so i figured I'd be a great father and buy her one for the basement. Currently it is non-operational. The question is that I have not the slightest clue as to where to start to diagnose what may be wrong with the machine. It seems to be an older model machine with fairly simple electronics inside, still not sure where to start. I have a basic to intermediate understanding for electronics and am almost positive if i was pointed in the right direction I could manage most to all for the repairs myself. Also curious if parts for this can even be found anymore? any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated by myself and especially my daughter!!! When I get it home in a few days I can post pictures of the inside to help show what its setup looks like and to help diagnose!!
  18. Hello everyone! My new National 158 has developed an intermittent bug, I think. Though the machine has operated without any other issues to my knowledge, the location has called twice now mentioning that the display light inside the unit has gone off on them. However, when I go to check it, it's on and I can't find anything wrong. Is there perhaps a power save feature I'm unaware of, or something else entirely? I'm optimistic it's something simple (if not something I've done by accident), but I'm not entirely sure. I've only had this unit for a little while, so I haven't quite learned it all yet, so I may truly just be missing something here. Thank you all in advance for your time and assistance!
  19. From the album: Misc. Bin

I was making a "short" reply to a thread in the bulk section when I used the phrase "Beaver Clones Attack!" and immediately the Star Wars movie came to mind. A few minutes later, and this amateurish photo is the result. It's dumb, but it made me smile, so here it is for the rest of you! Enjoy!

  21. I need some help figuring out what lock this flat vending machine needs. I tried a couple cam locks but they didn't work. Anyone have experience with these machines? There are no manufacturer markings on it.
  22. Hi everyone! I'm brand new to vending and still in the researching stage and buying my first bulk machines. My question is about display cards for a flat vending machine. I'm thinking about selling collectible cards and stickers with a common theme (Marvel and DC Comics) but not a premade set from a vending site. Does anyone have experience making their own display card to go in the front of the glass? I obviously don't want it to look super cheap but I'm not that much of a wiz in Photoshop. I've seen a couple "Mystery Mix" cards online but not available to purchase. Thank you! Laurana
  23. Hey guys, just curious... I'm assuming you need a Sales Tax ID to operate cranes in PA. Any other licenses / permits needed? Can I just stick a machine on location, or do I or the site owner need to do anything special? I've called Dept of Revenue, but they weren't as helpful as I would've liked. Thanks in advance. 24. I am new to vending and am in the process of obtaining my license now. I know a guy who has given me access to 5 of his businesses right from the start. I am a complete novice and am wondering what is truly the best rout to go starting out. I will be working with about 5-$700 starting out. Yep, this is a complete from the ground up beginning for me so I am reaching out to you more experienced players in the game. What is truly the best way to start? Drinks, combo, snacks or bulk? I will be placing my machine or machines in a place where it might be a good idea for people to eat something before they have a procedure done so I was thinking a combo machine but I am not sure if I need to invest such a low amount one 1 item. Pretty much ebay is looking like they have either cheap used machines or the expensive well made good operating machines which I can't afford right now. I am aware I can look at used machines locally but don't want to start that until I at least have my license and permit. So what do you say guys? Also, any good verified places on the net to obtain decent priced used machines that I won't have to start spending money on as soon as I get it? Thanks!
  25. Hey everyone. Just want to show our sweepstakes machines to the vendiscuss community. It sells real products and then lets the customer play in a promotional sweepstakes to win cash prizes. This isn't your basic 8liner old school nintendo graphics. This has state of the art software with 16 different 3d games to choose from. It KILLS in laundromats. Some of our locations are averaging 4k a machine in laundromats. Not so dramatic in bars, convenience stores but still 1-2k average profit on our routes. The way it works that makes it legal in most states is the fact that it sells you real products, does not have a random number generator which means all prizes are pre determined, and anyone can participate in the sweepstakes for free by simply filling in a form on the screen for a free entry. The software keeps track of every dollar denomination inserted as well as what time. All prizes paid out totals and what time they were paid out so no accounting errors or disputes with business owners on your routes. Also online access to the machine so you can log on and see how much money the machine has made that day, week, etc.. Here's a video showing the graphics on one of the 16 games www.sweepstakesbox.com for more info.
