Big Mike Posted November 22, 2011 Posted November 22, 2011 I am trying to find out what cost percentage other vendors are running their routes at as far as candy costs. Thanks 20% across the board.
redfleet32 Posted November 22, 2011 Author Posted November 22, 2011 Sorry, I could have been more specific. I do mean per vend. For my route, the amount of candy dispensed depends on the cost of the candy. I run all candy at 20%. I did fail to mention that Peanut M&Ms are about 33%. My toys run an average of 33% also.

You should be able to do 25% or less including displays and freight Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk

Hillbilly Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 33 is high for toys. Not counting shipping. So I would guess if half your heads were .50 you would be a little lower than the 25%. Of course that is using the single bag price. Factor in the discount levels and you will be slightly lower. Just another reason to go to .50 mech's.
lurtsman Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Thanks everyone. My candy percents are WAY too high. I'm slowly pushing MMP out of my rotation because they are expensive and go bad. RP had a price jump from about 10-12 cents an ounce to over 18. However, RP and skit are the only non-gb items that won't gum up the machines. All the more reason to focus on toys.
havending Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 My COG's last 12 mos. is currently @ 23.4468%. Bingo that's because he sells it at the right price. Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk
