Adding a dba

you dont need to connect to the motherboard per se..

most cranes come with a mars type harness hiding inside the coin door

your taking out a coin mech so you have your send pulse wires on the coin switch.

if your coin mech has a lightbulb near the coin return arm 9 times out of 10 its a 12 volt dc lightbulb circut

if your using a mars dba you will need the correct voltage usually 110v and the two pulse wires connect to the existing coin acceptor wires

that is the typical 4 wire mars installation 4 coins(pulse) per dollar.

on the coin switch wires the dollar bill acceptor sends 4 pulses to emulate the switch clicking 4 times

if your using a diffrent dollar bill acceptor like pyramid or ict they are usually 12 volts and you can connect the power to the light circuit or off the power supply near the motherboard 12volts

tell me what crane and what dba and i can walk you thru it as best i can

i have now 5 united cranes all have the DBA wiring inside the coin door near the mech, take a picture and post it if you can of the inside

where the coin door is.

I have two in storage right now different era units but one of the 2 should be like

yours ill snap some pics tomorrow when i go over the storage.

either that or do what bill said and just tap into the coin line ive done that on an old smart 24"

bean bag crane , worked fine.
