Repainting a machine

JCS Vending

Recommended Posts

We've been buying used machines lately and spare parts that need to be painted. Our machines are mostly red. There are so many shades of red I'm afraid to get the wrong shade and it will look terrible. Which one do you pick (brand/color) or how do I go about matching it up?

Does that give you high gloss finish? because I use Ace brand safety red and I like how it matches but would rather go to a high gloss finish.

yes it is high gloss but buy a can and see if it is what you like. I always wax mine after the paint has dried. I use nu finish car polish. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Nu-Finish-Paste-Car-Polish/16783574

I buy this paint at lowe's it matches the red paint color on vending machines better than any other paint I have found.

Wow Will you sure were right about this I picked up a can of this paint and it matches great and looks as good or maybe better than new from OAK.

How do you paint how far away from the machines, how many coats do you use ect. The only thing i didnt like about that paint was the spray tip seemed to spray alot of paint

and its in a circular pattern instead of a straight line.

I usually sand off all dirt and grime and wipe clean with cloth and only put 1 coat on them. I guess it's about 6 or 7 inches away? The tip is what I like best, it sprays a good coat, you will get use to it and like it better im sure.
