Even on this forum, I'm surprised the start has been so lopsided.

The "None of the above" option really was missing. I was a republican for about 20 years before switching to libertarian. As a libertarian, I've been dismayed by the lack of options presented in these elections. However, there is no way I can stomach voting for Romney. A Romney presidency would make everyone forget all about Bush. The man spoke long ago about how blind trusts were a load of **** and then complained that he wasn't responsible for off shoring his own money because it was in a blind trust. He says he's an expert at business and finance, but he doesn't even handle his own finances. He won't release his tax returns from years prior to his knowledge that he would be running for President - but people demanded Obama's birth certificate. Why not demand the documents that may prove Romney is unfit for office? He retroactively retired from a company because it engaged in behavior he didn't want to associate with. Until that retirement, he signed papers for the FCC that he was controlling the company. Either he is perpetrating a lie now, or he he committed a felony then.

Did anyone voting for him see the speech where for 50 grand per plate donors could listen to him explain that common people we're having a bad year. That those people were all around them, like the people who were stuck serving them food and drink? He actually insulted the servers while giving his speech. I don't think Obama is getting it right, but I'm not voting to put a felon in office. I don't see any common sense in voting for him.

I haven't seen Obama try to overturn Roe V Wade, and if a president interferes with poor people having access to birth control, they are increasing the number of abortions by increasing the number of unintended pregnancies. I don't like abortion either, and the intelligent course of action is to prevent the pregnancies that are most likely to result in those abortions.

How about his policy on immigration? In short, "I can't tell you what it is, but it will be permanent." Yeah, that's a good plan. Republicans complain about people using the hospital and skipping out on the bill, but don't like the idea of everyone being told to buy health insurance. I don't LIKE mandates either, but the cost of medicine in this country is astounding.

See the Romney commercial with a family making 200k complaining about how hard it was to make ends meet? "We can't afford more taxes, because our costs are too high already." How does that dumb b**** think people living on a fifth of that feel? If it is too hard to live on 200k, then we really need to fix how hard it is to live on 40k. Worse yet, 40k is a professional salary for someone who graduates college and has the networks to actually find a job. We pretend that all income is deserved, but unemployment is around 8% and the advice on how to find a job isn't to be qualified or capable, but rather to network. That only increases the relevance of, "Well sure the new guy is a dumb***, but we really like his dad".

I won't vote FOR Obama, but I will vote against Romney.

I think Americans should consider the WRITE-IN Vote. I am going to Write In my vote, Rep. or Dem. are not going to deside who I want as my President. If America wants Romney or Obama that is what they get.

My feeling is anyone is better than obama even clinton. And if you do vote libertarian, green party, write in vote than you are basically voting for obama by splitting the republican vote.

Its almost like republicans dont want to win McCain really? Romney really?

I will go with Romney. Not my favorite choice but the media and left really flamed who I really liked. (Herman Cain) Smart took a failing brand and from a larger corporation and turned it around. Brought the headquarters back to its home town.

Clinton while I didn't like his social policy's did move way to the center after the republicans took over the house on the Mid term elections. He did work and create some compromises and things did move in a better direction.

Obama hasn't got the message yet Socialism Doesn't work. True communism doesn't work. Most people need a reason to succeed in life more then just the betterment of the people or the party or whatever bs is being thrown around. Even the Communist China is moving towards a mixed economy and having capitalistic companies that are growing and moving forward. Look at Europe and the financial debacle waiting to happen there and we aren't far behind it here either.

70% of the tax revenue comes from the top 10% of Americans. I was helping a young guy friend of my oldest son. We kind of hit things off he became like another kid to me. He was great with Computers Liked cars helped me with my hot rod and some projects around the house. Tried to mentor him as a young husband and dad.

It was frustrating though at tax time. Get my few hundred dollars back. He gets 9,000-11,000 over the years we were hanging together. He went in the army and is overseas right now. I was working making 30,000 a year at the time one kid at home wife working making about the same. He is making 24,000 or so wife doesn't work and so he brings home between a third and half of his gross pay in one check from the government. He can't save any of it or suffer some kind of lose of something. Taught him to keep a couple grand for an emergency in a safety Deposit box at least. One thing though he always had nice computers Big screen tv, Stereo, and other electronic items all courtesy of you and me. Love the kid as my own but man this system sucks.

How did this get dredged up?  It shows a post at 5:30 am today but it's from 2012.

Big Red is no longer with us Randy. RIP. I don't believe in ghosts (at least I didn't until now  ;D )  But I'm sure Red is happy about the recent elections.

I can't see on Tapatalk but is there a poll on this thread? If so, someone may have voted causing it to show as unread.

If there's no poll, then I have no idea. Maybe Big Red visiting from beyond?
