Dogcow,

I've been there on a couple of remo projects. They make a scrapper blade for most demo hammers that should work with some perseverance. Make sure you get one that fits your demo hammer. The chucks come in four different styles; spline, sds, sds max and hex (the oldest one ) They come in various widths depending upon your application.

Check CPO - they ship out of Georgia so you can get one in a day or two.

Have fun ;D

I only rented the demo hammer don't own one I just tried a few solvents only one I haven't tried is kleenstrip

because its highly toxic. Its over 1000 sqft of mastic I don't think my back would last using the demo hammer. Also how would it be different than a floor remover I did 5 passes w it

Mastic is usually oil base - is it hard or slightly soft? If it's hard, it should chip off with a smaller sized (sds) chipping gun and wide blade scraper - you don't need a jack hammer. If it's still soft, it's going to be a mess

This is what I'm talking about http://www.championchisel.com/category/floor-scrapers-sds-plus-system/floor-scrapers-sds-plus/ The SDS plus chipping guns usually weight less than 15 lbs.

Floor sanders are usually for wood - you're going to need a lot of sanding disks if you go that route
