treadmill
Good job. Keep up posted with new numbers. Are there expansion plans in the future? How big do you plan on getting? Full or part time?
Crimson Tide
Good job. Keep up posted with new numbers. Are there expansion plans in the future? How big do you plan on getting? Full or part time? Thanks for the encouragement. Yes, I absolutely do plan to expand. My goal is to get to 50 locations by the end of 2013 - hoping that will translate into about $1,000 net per month. I'll have to see how I'm doing on free time/bandwidth at that point. I would love to do vending full time, but I make too much on my regular job to see the light at the end of the tunnel in terms of quitting the office thing. I've experimented with various locating methods (including the do-it-yourself variety). The one in-person locator that I hired (central Maryland area) didn't work out well. He got me 5 locations, but most of them turned out to be losers. Even the replacements that he got me were bad. I only kept 2 of his "finds." Lately, I've tried Kickstart and Beanstalk locators, both with mixed results: a few really good locations sprinkled in with mostly below average ones. I must say that the best locations I have are the ones that I found on my own. I just haven't found very many that way.
Lake Cities Vending
What are you putting in the machines in the lounges. I have 2 that I got from locators and I'm not sure if I want to mess with them.
Crimson Tide
What are you putting in the machines in the lounges. I have 2 that I got from locators and I'm not sure if I want to mess with them. In each of my two lounges, I have a double head set-up (Northwestern Super 60s), one with gumballs and the other with Skittles. I don't know what your two lounges are like, but if I had about 120 locations like the better of my two, I wouldn't need a real job.
Lake Cities Vending
Maybe I should reconsider the lounges.
treadmill
When I had my gumball route, I had machines in bars and made a killing.
Crimson Tide
It's the employees, mainly, that are feeding these two lounge machines for me. I give them some free gumballs everytime I service the locations. Never fails to bring a smile.
Lake Cities Vending
I'll be adding 2 bar locations this weekend.
jpvending
Bars are my best locations... When I first started I didn't want any - being a female I felt funny about going into some of them to service the units by myself. But I bought a route that had three and now they have become one of my top choices as far as locations.
