executivevending
So i just got a good lead on getting one of my 4 select u-turn machines in at the most popular chinese restaurant in town. One of my ex- coworkers works there and said i could put one in there. They currently have an 8 select machine in there now with 2 crane machines as well. I'm hoping i could possibly get to have everything in there eventually and trying to figure out what i should offer them commission wise. The vendors there now are giving them commission but my friend doesn't know how much and i don't want to offer to low or definitely too high. What's your suggestions? I was thinking 10% for now and tell them if i could eventually put crane machines of my own in there and be the only account i'd do 25%
orsd
ditch the 4 select get a rack with good (NW,Oak, Eagle, Beaver, AA) machines and place it. As for commission start with 20-25% of gross and work up I wouldn't go past 35-40% of gross. Also, it they say that they are getting x% from their current guy, ask if they are getting net or gross. Since I'm assuming your gonna do gross, then you can use that against the current guy if they are doing net. Also try to build your relations, wait a few months, and try to get you own crane in there. Good deals are common on Craigslist, and so if you're patient, you can get super deals on both the aforementioned rack and cranes. If you need help on cranes, then go to the Amusement vending section here on Vendiscuss.
GagesVending
I'm sure 10% isn't going to impress, so I'd go with 25%. I agree with orsd though, I'd ditch the Uturn too. They don't hold up in a good location so I'd place a small rack or a couple double heads with candy and toys. Being that they have the cranes already, that tells me it's a family restaurant, rather than just an old people hangout, so toys should do very well there! allsnax
If the other guy has an 8way and 2 cranes that location is likely getting a good payout. I would see what machines are not there and pitch those with a 25% commission as a starting point, if the location says the other vendor pays 30% match it. As to the machines ,If the other guy has flat pitch 2" caps, if no flat pitch that. If the other vendor has 1&2" caps and flat pitch a specialty machine bouncy ball or something like that. Action Vending
If the above doesnt work you may have to grease the hand of the person you are friends with their and pay them if they can convince the owner to switch soley to you.
executivevending
So i finally talked to him today and they cleared out a lof ot space for me! I'm putting in a tattoo machine, 4select uturn, and a 5 select machine (might just go with the 5 and tattoo) and am going to pay 1/3 (33%) and said if they do well i'd offer a little higher commission if he'd kick them out and let me put some cranes in there. What do you guys think? And what would be the absolute highest commission i should offer if all goes well?
Priusjames
66% of something is better than 100% of nothing, or so I've read! Good job on getting in there.
treadmill
I understand each location is different but if you could get one of these into a busy family restaraunt how long do you think it would take to get your ROI on one of these machines? I am strongly considering giving one of these a try. I wouldn't go over 30%. 33% is kinda high. If you go any higher you will be working for him. dogcow
30% is standard for amusement games or 50% net but it works out to the same amt of monry either way,net is just more time consuming to calculate
