F J Vending
I know it is best to minimize travel expenses by making your route as dense as possible but just curious how far some of you travel to run your route? Would you travel 50, 100 or 150 miles to run a route in another city?
allsnax
Yes. I have only 2 routes less than 25 miles away. Most are in the 35-50 mile range. One is 100 miles away and I have two at 125+ miles way. When starting locate close to home and work your way out. If you get a good location far away build up around it to make the route profitable. vendy
Here is a thread with some major route miles. http://www.vendiscuss.net/index.php?/topic/3976-How-many-miles-is-your-route.-Im-wanting-to-compare
F J Vending
Thanks Vendy, I did read that thread but since it was 3+ years old I thought I would ask again. Just curious as I am looking at a small route, about 50 heads, about 60 miles away. I have someone close by that can make quick checks if needed and the route only needs serviced every 8 weeks. I could not image a 1500 mile route, but seeing the pile of quarters collected from 3500 heads would be awesome.
