atuquilar
Hi everybody, I found a route for sale that consists of 34 triple-head machines. 27 are currently in locations with 7 not located. The seller is asking $80/machine or $2,720 total. I asked him what the gross revenue is, and he said $250/month. That would equal out to only about $9-$10 per month for each machine for the 27 machines that are located. Is this route worth looking at buying, even if I was to talk down the price? Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Tbuford
What kind of triple head machines? Is it a cluster or route covers a large area?

However, in my opinion through many, many hours of research and hours on this forum, I think it's a good deal, the main reason being if these are only making 9-10 a month the guy sounds like he is at least being honest. At least in most routes that are for sell, the seller makes outrages claims about how the machines are doing. Having said that, if these machines are only making 9-10 per month per machines, that's a very low end figure considering the national average per head is $7.00, which means they should be averaging 21.00 a month. I definitely would not give him $2,700 because most of the time they don't start off asking for their bottom price. Does he have paper work to verify the income? If not, I would make him take me to a few of the locations (good and bad) to see for myself what type of locations he has them in
GagesVending
Not a good deal. Vendstars are pretty much junk and have very little value. I paid $43 each for my Vendstar buy-out, but got some locations that after I swapped out candy, gross $20-50/month each. There's potential, but it's not in the machines, it's in the locations. I would offer more around half his asking price and swap out the candies that aren't selling well because you never know if you already have that great location, but aren't reaching your full potential because you're selling the wrong product. newheart53
I would offer 1700. for the placed ones and 20. for the spare ones. Then also look hard at the reason there only doing 9-10 a month [if its location then change the loc. to better ones if its because of poor service clean up the machine put in fresh candy and see if the money increases]. The main thing is use it as a base and build a better route while that one gives you a little money.
Tbuford
I agree the machines ain't worth much of nuthin.. Any time I buy a route I am buying for the locations, not the machines. Generally I will only buy if it looks like I can turn some of the locations into bulk locations where I can put a small rack.
