dapoopta
Are there any tricks for getting buttons to work on a finicky keypad? Is there a cleaning method? It is one of those flat pads, so I think it uses static electricity to sense the push, not the actual 'push'. Maybe it isn't grounded right? It may be time to replace the pad - I've done this on a couple of APs I own. They cost roughly $50 and should take no more than a hour to swap out depending upon what you have to remove to get to them.
AZVendor
Assuming this is in a snack machine, the only thing to try before replacing the keypad (turn power off first) is to disconnect the keypad from the machine harness and reconnect it a couple of times to try to clean the connections. If this doesn't work then do the same where the keypad harness plugs into the logic board. If no change then a replacement keypad is needed. Do you have to push some buttons more than once to get the machine to recognize it or do you have a key/keys that don't work at all? Plan on replacing the plastic buttons at the same time as they get scuffed on the backside and will look dull with a new keypad.
