shepherdsflock
I just bought three bags of Lock, Stock, and Barrel with live displays from TJ King. This is my first experience with this product. The displays look great, no complaints there. However, I was disappointed to find that there seemed to be a lot of filler junk that was cut in with the mix. Stuff that's not even on the display. Little animal figures and other odds and ends that seem like they had no place in that mix. Has anyone purchased Lock, Stock, and Barrel before? Is this a normal thing, or did they mix a bunch of miscellaneous junk they couldn't sell into the mix and hope I wouldn't notice?
sherlock
I've never bought it, but I've heard from vendors here and one I know personally in my area -- that stuff is supposed to sell well. So, if, it's the same premium/filler ratio they have done in the past, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Hopefully, someone with experience regarding the past mix and current mix will chime in. havending
Welcome to Cardinal. The product you bought from TJ is really a Cardinal product with TJ being the middle man. Lock Stock does sell very well so your good with that. Cardinal has some great products and pricing but they will use filler product im guessing as a cost savine measure. When I order Cardinal I always ask whats in the mix because they will ad filler to a product you think is straight.
mjacks
One of my best sellers period. Filler or not it sells like crazy and never needs rotation due to slow down. Get it from Cardinal and avoid the mark up.

I noticed on their website that they show a new product display which doesn't look as nice as the old one. Is that the one you have been getting (if you've been buying displays; perhaps you've been using old displays that you already had)?

I am at the show in Vegas right now and loaded up at cardinal yesterday. The new display isn't as nice but it can be used to rotate to get it looking fresh. I have a ton of old displays already so I don't need many new ones.
sherlock
did you get the old version of the display at TJKing shepherdsflock?
shepherdsflock
did you get the old version of the display at TJKing shepherdsflock? Yes, I did. I might order some more before they run out. It looks much nicer than the new one.
sherlock
Yes. It does look better. I wonder if the displays redesign is due to complaints. Is it me or does the new display design mention something about the "items included" in the mix? Meaning, there is at least some hint as to the fact that there are items other than what's displayed. I don't think that clarifying statement was on the old display. If not, customer may have complainted when they got some filler item rather than one of the items on the display...especially if the filler stuff really sucked.
