I'm waiting on some logistics stuff around where to pick up, etc. But they will get that to me today. Looks like they have everything. Complicated to find for the first time online, but it looks like you can set up a regular order and modify that each time as needed. You guys like Vistar? I see/hear many of you use them. Looks like I will make my order up over weekend and call it in. I like the fact I can get a case of one thing and not have to buy a variety pack! I am quite confident that I remember a few people discussing this on another topic recently. If I recall, you cannot get Vistar's catalog until you actually agree (contractually?) to do business with them. Also, I believe that their prices are standardized to all customers (at least regionally). In fact, I believe Mission Vending was the one who had answered it if my memory serves me correctly. cvending Posted March 26, 2013 Share Posted March 26, 2013 We use Vistar of Ohio. They do have customized product pricebooks that they e-mail to us monthly. They also have online ordering. Recently they are forcing customers to the new "MyVistar.Vistar.com " which I don't care for. Their older online ordering was so much easier in my opinion. andyinchville Posted April 2, 2013 Share Posted April 2, 2013 HI, Vistar sells a lot of stuff for us vendors BUT the Vistar I use is more expensive product for product than our Local Sams Club....(To be fair tho Vistar does offer more variety) . If you get an account, you can try talking to your sales rep to get lower prices....Mine helped me get the prices of cake down BUT she never took care of at least matching Sam's prices on candy or drinks. I know I can order online and get all kinds of stats but I'm old school and talk w/ my order taking rep weekly to adjust / tweak my standing order. I have had the same experience and have said so in the past, my order consists of items not available at Sam's. then if I have to meet minimums I will order some of the items I usually get at Sam's.
