Agapevending
Is it possible to build a route that would make at least 1,000 a month? Has any one ever done it. i would really like to work on that.
mjacks
Good god yes! I have locations that do double that by themselves every month. Granted I have a lot more than a simple candy machine in those locations. ;-) Don't limit yourself and don't be afraid to branch out into more than the simple candy machines. adog
Thats my first land mark! Aiming for 1k a month and then 2k. Eventually my goal is to get up to about 3-4k gross while being a full time college student! Would be a nice extra income ha! Give the "all college students are broke" stereotype a kick in the butt ha!
sherlock
$1k per month is not that hard to achieve. Listen to the sensible veterans around here and keep working hard...and you will be there before you know it. That is what I did and it worked for me. So I know it can work for you
GagesVending
You need to get into more of those $50+/month locations in order to get to $1000 without having too many stops.
deee_z
Agape, how many locations do you have?
rxmark
I started with no locations in 3/2011 now have 2 seperate corporations one with a partner and another in which I branched out on my own. Together I have roughly 800 locations combined between the two. I gross roughly 14 times what your asking. I do have 12 cranes and a chicken machine besides bulk toy and candy locations. It is very possible especially since me and my partner both work full time jobs as our primary income. So basically we built 800 locations in 2 years building on our own and buying out routes all done on a part time basis.

Agapevending
If I had remained in the city I was in, it might have been possible. with that route I avreged 200 to 300 a month with 20 Machines. I moved in 2008 and still don't have them all out. yes that is my fault. I have used loactors and done a little self locating. (not very good at that musdt work on it) I figure the self locating will go better in Aug. when my son starts school. kinda hard to do when he keeps doing what a 5 year old does. Most locations I have don't do good my best one usally gets 30 to 40 a month. sometimes more. at present I am running 9 out of my 20. I would like get all out and then go from there. I am starting to think that Waco TX is a hard area to locate in. Most of the locations I have there don't do good. To many other machines or not enough traffic. I'm going to be looking for places with lots of Traffic.

I'm going to be looking for places with lots of Traffic. Just keep working on it! Schedule a time that works for you (2-4pm) is good for businesses, and make a point (almost force yourself) to get out there. Don't stop until you've reached your goal that you set for yourself. Some people may decide they want to stop at 10 places before returning home, others may decide they need to get 1 placed before they go home. Make a goal for yourself and do what you have to do to achieve your goal. As long as you push yourself, you'll have all 20 placed! Good luck! If anyone asks you anything say, "someone called and wanted one put here". slam multiple machines into these buildings. Anyone can gorilla locate. Toad
I dont do many accts without a commission, but when im locating and see easy money spots like this, I STILL do this.
sherlock
I dont do many accts without a commission, but when im locating and see easy money spots like this, I STILL do this. What do you say to them when they call you on it? Do you tell them the same thing tbuford tells them when they ask you about your equipment? That's the part about the whole thing that bothers me most. But, I come from a different angle than most. Lying is just part of being in business to some, but not to others. adog
I'd be nervous to do that as well. I feel like you could get in serious trouble for trespassing or something! Probably even worse if some government official calls you out on it!
Rick
I'd be nervous to do that as well. I feel like you could get in serious trouble for trespassing or something! Probably even worse if some government official calls you out on it! I've never slammed a machine but I've read many of these threads and the slamming vets will tell you that's the BEAUTY of gorilla locating! Because you're slamming in high traffic, high employee locations - even if you're caught you can just say something like "I believe the lady's name was Sharon that I spoke to, and she said blah blah blah". In many of these buildings there's nobody "in charge" because they house multiple service sectors that don't even talk with each other. You can't be trespassing in a government office before you've been asked to leave and it's a rare thing to find a government employee who is gung-ho enough to care enough about asking you for details. Toad
I don't put numbers on those machines, they are just singles, they are good ones that already have charity and will gross $50 a month or more
Tbuford
After slamming, I've been called and booted from a hospital before. I've also ben booted from a govt building because they vendor who did coke and candy machines had a contract and com plained to someone. I do put phone contact info on all my machines. I know of a guy who does mainly amusement, fortune tellers, love testers, grip testers and some cranes and bulk who NEVER puts an y contact info on anything. I think he may be trying to avoid tax man, or local municipalities business licenses etc. He's not slamming though, at least I don't think he is. ronsidney
I dont get some people? Some people will cry foul if somebody Slams a "public" place as them being dishonest and a liar etc. BUT they are same people that put a big charity sticker on their machine luring customers to put their money in a machine with premise that the machine is solely for that charity?? like i said if you wanna give a buck a month then dont paste the charity info all over the machine and "lie" to the customer putting in the quarter. Two souls you are lying too now, the owner of the business that thinks you represent some worthwhile charity and the customers that just put in a quarter thinking they are supporting that charity. It is just like passing a offering plate around on Sunday and the preacher grabbing it and going to the casino or bar and leaving a buck behind in plate! same exact thing! to really get on a high horse in this thread would be to give a commission to all your stops and not pose as a charity or slam locations.. now to really be bad would be to slam locations WITH a fake charity sticker on your machine and not give the buck either..there are guys doing that everyday. I never would, but i put hundreds of machines out in hospitals, laundromats court houses, jails, city halls, schools (vocational schools are great near the smoking section with single head gumballs) etc. and none of them had charity labels and never had permission either..some stuck and some didnt, but my contact info was on machine. I do love this debate when it gets going though, been there done that i know..lol ron
adog
Never said it was wrong lol. Said I would be scared to and worried about legal issues! And probably loosing my machine as well! If you got the guts to do it go for it! Ps. My charity machines donate two dollars a month each through Vend2Help However I am movng towards all commission accounts pretty much from here on out. Esepcially since I now have a money scale to actually be able to pay commission fast!
Rick
Ron I think you're seeing ghosts of past threads. Nobody in this thread has "cried foul" about slamming a public place (at least not yet, I'm sure they'll come along soon).
