Can someone help identify these machines?

The picture's a little blurry but you'll rarely see a multipriced soda machine with only 6 selections (Redbull is the only one that comes to mind)  I can tell you that the one on the right is at least 40 years old and not what you're looking for unless you're starting a museum.

Hi VendingExperts

The machine to the right in picture I would not mess with to old, parts would be hard to find. The machine on left it is a blurry picture looks like a six selection and is a little on the small side. I don't know what part of Maryland your from but if you go to craigslist, type in vending machines and I'm pretty sure you will come across some better deals or a refurbished machine with a warranty from a local refurbisher, at least if you have any problem with it they will come out and fix it.

my two cents.

The approach I like to take is to get the biggest machine you can cram into a location so you don't have to service it so often.  Royal makes the biggest ones and since they're headquartered in West Virginia,  I'd bet there are a lot of them around your area.

You'll need to hire somebody to move the machine anyway,  so you might as well get a big one.  Just make sure it fits through all the doorways.  Basically what movers do is open the door and "clam shell" them through - this makes the body thin enough to pass through the door.

The pepsi machine on the left I found is a Vendo. 6 selection. Setup for bottles but needs shims to convert back to cans. He's asking between $150 and $200.

I wasn't interested in the other one, its probably older than I am!

If it's set up for bottles then it's probably multipriced.  That's a good price but it's a very small machine like Mike said.  Just remember, bottled sodas only have a three month shelf life versus cans which are usually ten months.

VE,

The machine on the right is a Choice Vend which was the prevalent used machine available when I started vending in 1985 and I had many of them on my route.  Believe it or not, Coke and Pepsi were still using the Choice Vends in 1985 even though none of them ever had bill validators in them.  They are obsolete now as they ceased production in the early 80's and there are no parts available now.  As stated earlier, the left machine does look like a Vendo, but it may be pretty old too.  You should contact the seller and get a model number from him and we can then advise you on it.  You don't need to worry too much about cans vs. bottles except for whether you can sell a bottle for a profitable price.  It will still be simpler to start with cans until you are comfortable with them before venturing into bottles.
