mission vending Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Anyone else going to be watching my San Antonio Spurs begin their 5th championship run tonight?
caserri Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Go Patriots! Oh, wait... Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 4 Beta
moondog Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Anyone else going to be watching my San Antonio Spurs begin their 5th championship run tonight? I'll be there. Pops is probably the best coach in the league right now and I'd like to see that bunch be able to retire on a high note - I've heard Pops is going to hang it up when Duncan goes so I'm figuring this is probably it. I hope they're not too rusty after the long wait but I'm sure Duncan, Genobli and Parker benefited from the rest. The Spurs have been top competitors in a tough conference for years but you guys are in for some lean years when this core rides off into the sunset.
mission vending Posted June 12, 2013 Author Posted June 12, 2013 Spurs lead the series 2-1 after tonight's beat down of the Heat 113-77.
moondog Posted June 12, 2013 Posted June 12, 2013 Spurs lead the series 2-1 after tonight's beat down of the Heat 113-77. That was an old fashioned trip to the woodshed led pretty much by the bench.
dapreachaman Posted June 13, 2013 Posted June 13, 2013 The thing I loved was that cbssports had written how the spurs were done after game 2. Last night was great. Watching here in San Antonio tomorrow and Sunday. Go spurs go!
VFVending Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 The Spurs run is over if LBJ, DW and Bosh show up like they did in game 4. HEAT in 6!
mission vending Posted June 19, 2013 Author Posted June 19, 2013 Allrighty, Game 6 is about to begin...... I sure hope the Spurs close it out tonight, a on the road Game 7 is not a desired scenario.

We know how to P A R T Y down here in 'ol San Antonio, without trashing others people property like those goons have done in LA and Chicago in the past.

That's a good thing. It would be bad publicity to see a CNN news clip showing machines floating down the River Walk!
mission vending Posted June 19, 2013 Author Posted June 19, 2013 What a game. Too bad the Heat won. :-) One of the best games I've ever watched. Can't wait for game 7.
Jax Snacks Posted June 19, 2013 Posted June 19, 2013 Amazing Ending. But the Spurs should have closed the deal since they dominated most of the game. Maybe next time. Game 7's Finals are intense. On another note, many Miami fans left the building assuming their team would lose. But when it was tied, they tried to get back in, but were locked out! http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-ball-dont-lie/miami-heat-fans-leave-nba-finals-game-6-051052669.html

Jax Snacks Posted June 20, 2013 Posted June 20, 2013 And that is their own dam fault for being such fickle fans, no sympathy from me. Yea, Miami fans have always been fickle. They even booed Dan Marino. Dolphins had trouble selling out games even when the team was good. Bet those Dol-Fans wished they had another Dannie at QB. I think they have gone through 15+ QB's since then and most just dropped off the planet without a trace.
VendingExperts Posted June 21, 2013 Posted June 21, 2013 I can't stand this San Antonio Heat, I'm feeling a little spurred to go to Miami!
moondog Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 Twenty eight seconds with a five point lead - what a damned shame. I give credit to the Spurs in game 7 for keeping it close the whole game. I was afraid they'd be "deer in the headlights" after that game 6 meltdown.

It was a great series, one for the ages, it just ended wrong for me. On a positive note around 4000 people showed up at the airport today to welcome the team home.
