jasonkw Posted June 10, 2013 Posted June 10, 2013 Has anyone bought vending machines from Vendors Exchange? I got a quote on some of their as-is machines and they seem expensive compared to what I can get locally. Problem is, I need a larger quantity of snacks and I can't find enough locally to meet my needs. Has anyone been able to negotiate anything with them? They initially quoted me $1500 for an as-is AP Studio 3.

I look for AP7600's and clean them up myself - usually I can find them in the $500 range. I doubt if you'll ever find a great deal on machines from companies like VE or the so-called pro refurbishers - Craig's List will generally be your best source and it's local so you're not looking at huge shipping costs. I would never buy any combo machine unless I had a specific need for one. Where about are you at?

It depends on what you are looking for, I bought a Vendo from VE a couple of years ago and the compressor was DOA when I plugged it in, I needed it on location ASAP and they OVERNIGHTED me a new one so I could get it fixed and on location. Sure you can find "deals" on CL or flea bay buy you get what you get and the seller may or may not honor a warranty. With a major refurbisher like VE they will stand behind what they sell, the trade off is that you will pay more for it. You have to decide what is best for you, getting the absolute lowest price or be willing to pay a little more for good quality equipment with a warranty you can count on.
