Is it hard to get into a you have purchased if it does not come with keys? No, I did not buy the machine yet. Just need to know before bidding.

It's a Royal, model RVCC660-9

Thanks

If the existing lock takes a circular key, it's very simple (almost too simple) to drill out this lock.  If you look closely,  you'll see 7 or 8 pins in the round opening.  Use a drill bit small enough to fit in there and drill out these pins - the last time I did it, I used a 9.6v drill and it took about ten minutes.

If the existing lock takes a bladed key it can be a real bear as many of these are the high security style and will require a series of carbide bits and  a lot of patience.

Good machine by the way

Ps.  You never told us how that firehouse account ended up

If someone is selling a machine they do not have the keys, please consider that you may be buying stolen property and that is a crime.

If they will not give you a bill of sale and a copy of their driver’s license run away fast.

If it is a cheap lock it should not be hard to get in.

Thanks, it's a circle key hole.

Warnings noted - Seller has only 1 feedback and not as a seller. The description says he does not have the keys yet the pictures posted are also of the interior of the machine

As for the firehouse it's definitely not worth it for someone to have this place on a route for snacks but since I live near by it's ok. I talked them into allowing me to use a small display fridge to sell water out of via honor box at $1 each. cost of bottled water = 17 cents = 588% profit margin. Of course sales aren't perfect but who cares with that much room for error.

My purpose for searching for a bottle drink machine is to be able to vend 20 ounce plastic bottle snapple out of it.  Is there anything weird about the shape or size of the snapple bottles that will keep them from dispensing?

I'm also looking at a Vendo V540

I know soda and water will dispense but not sure about snapple.

Getting a 20 oz Snapple plastic bottle to vend out of a machine that is bottle capable should not be a problem. Depending on brand or model its all about proper setup, shims and spacers and/or programming. If you post make and model we can give you the guidance you need.

The Royal will vend Snapples just fine.  You don't need shims as the only adjustments are the programming ( 1 item deep or 2 ) and possibly adjusting the arm at the bottom of the column ( right screw hole for smaller products and left screw hole for wider ones ).

I'm thinking that this machine is a little old to be bottler equipment - they usually sell them off after five years.  If you have any doubts, get the serial number and call the Coke bottler in Philadelphia and ask for the Asset Manager.  They should be able to tell you if it's a "missing asset".

yeah 90% it's stolen or a repo. ask for proof of ownership.

many machines go poof in the night and if the old owner spots it and can prove ownership, you loose and can be charged for possession.

I had a deal just like this when I bought four machines. Just to be safe I asked the police dept. They told me to get a signed bill of sale and that'd protect me if they were stolen.

That keeps you safe from being charged with a crime. If you buy it and it is stolen and the local pd comes knocking you won't be charged but you still will have to surrender the equipment and you are out the $$.
