mission vending Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Thanks for the update. I'll be most interested in what the numbers are in 6 months or so.
LandJGroup Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Thanks for the update. I'll be most interested in what the numbers are in 6 months or so. For sure Mission! Good Luck and Good Selling Rick Falcon Much better than that Coin Laundry. Yeah I would want a dba acceptor in there. In my experence the account will do its best the first four months then hit a wall and drop a bit. Do you have anything else in there or anything else that would compete with your chicken?
havending Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 First of all Rick great job these machines rock in a Buffett. If you need DBV let me know I will get you my contact for the 2411 mars

In my experence the account will do its best the first four months then hit a wall and drop a bit. Do you have anything else in there or anything else that would compete with your chicken? That is sometimes true for regular bulk. But we are seeing the reverse with the chicken. Here in the south buffets slow up with the extreme heat but we are seeing sales increase month over month on chicken units, when I first put these out I would just watch kids react to the machine. They had never seen any thing like it before. Some would get happy others did not know what it was but still played it. Now I have had locations say the kids go looking for it. Looks like we are building a segment in bulk that will be here for many years to come. Good Luck and Good Selling Rick Falcon We are doing a locating blitz in TN in two weeks I'm sure I will have to order chickens after that.
sherlock Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 In my experence the account will do its best the first four months then hit a wall and drop a bit. That's my experience with bulk machines too. IMO the only thing that prevents that drop-off is a consistent rotation of products. If you are limited in product, then heck, AT LEAST change the display. Something needs to be done to keep the offerings fresh...especially in eateries, because most good/busy restaurants attribute their success to REPEAT customers. You don't want those customers seeing the same tired stuff every visit. In an All-American Chicken, since eggs are probably something you will consistently run throughout the year, "keeping it fresh" is a little more challenging. But some useful suggestions have been posted somewhere here on the forum in the past. I am in the process of trying some of those suggestions myself. Thanks for the info on this location/machine, Rick...please keep us updated.

Good Luck and Good Selling Rick Falcon It's good that the workers notice your machine is hot with the kids. We have aa machines getting delivered this week for locations with chickens. We are finding that locations want us to do all the vending after having the chicken a few months. ESP when we use our standard blue rack next to the chicken they blend great

However, maybe I'm just pessimistic, but I expect sales to drop after the novelty is gone. It's my job (as I mention above) to keep things fresh with the chicken machine because once the novelty wears off, it is not going to draw many repeat customers unless I am very creative with my offerings.

Yes LJ better than the laundry their ia a 5 stand in there but it looks neglected and out dated once I have a strong relationship with the owners I will win over the location, thats what makes the Chicken machine so valueable its so uniqe that it will help you get your foot in the door and once your in a location than its all up to you.Thats what Im planing to use the Chicken mach. as a tool to get me into locations it beats paying bonus money to get into locations, everyone has a different plan thats why Im not loosing sleep over ROI when it comes to the Chicken machine.
havending Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Just remember some guys giving chicken advice don't have any experience with all American chickens they are giving general bulk advice. These are not general bulk machines. As someone who runs chicken machines, I pray you are right. However, maybe I'm just pessimistic, but I expect sales to drop after the novelty is gone. It's my job (as I mention above) to keep things fresh with the chicken machine because once the novelty wears off, it is not going to draw many repeat customers unless I am very creative with my offerings. We have been doing some great things with dollar items. Yoyo balls, finger lights etc and with a display
LandJGroup Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Well good stuff Rick. Glad your happy. Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk 2

I see the mystique and What I can get surprised with factor, but a true clear/transparent egg with a quality item will help the drop off when the novelty wears off. sherlock Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 Here we go again! Just another Chicken Thread!!! Should we contact the police to inform them that someone is holding a gun to your head and forcing you to read these posts? Is the number still 9-1-1?
Rick Falcon Posted June 14, 2013 Author Posted June 14, 2013 I agree a clear egg would be great for this type of machine when vending a straight item also a display is a plus.

Is the number still 9-1-1? No actually I enjoy reading posts. However, every time someone posts their success or failures with their Chicken pulls. It digresses into a discussion over proof and motives etc. etc. Just saying, I was getting my helmet and hip boots ready.
Rick Falcon Posted June 15, 2013 Author Posted June 15, 2013 Im curently working on placing a third one in a movie theater.

Makes Cents Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 I agree a clear egg would be great for this type of machine when vending a straight item also a display is a plus. I think live displays of a few cool higher end items you include in your egg mix would increase revenue alot. You could mix in 1 in 50 or 1 in 100 or 1 in 200 a high end item that you use like bait. I have seen guys dump $20 in cranes trying to win an item like an mp3 or a cool licensed item.
