My weirdest moment in vending. What was your quirkiest moment?

My weirdest moment happened very recently. As mad as I am about the loss, I still laugh about it.

I have three pubs secured, for about 4 months now, makes me $80-$100/month for each pub.

Today, I went to go service the machine furthest away from me (Haven't went in over a month, exams).

When I get there, my first issue I have ever had in these locations comes about, apparently someone has yanked out the coin mech in my LYPC triple head, and used paperclips (Didn't bother to take them) and apparently fished out the rest of my Runts. I asked the manager about it, and all he said is it has been like that for about three weeks, and thats all he knows. On the positive side, the thief was not clever enough to take the ~$100 of quarters sitting below.

I am presuming it was done by a kid, as my machine is set up in a mini arcade that the kids of the neighborhood frequent.

Also; I have learned my lesson about not supergluing the coin mech, but hey, it worked for about a month ;)

So, what is your weirdest/quirkiest/funniest moment in your bulk vending career?

my wierdest was when I did fruit of the loom pantyhose years ago.

and after I serviced a machine in a health club I forgot to check something, and get back to the machine and someone had it opened and was counting my stock. apparently the machines dealer sold everyone stock keys, so when another dealer saw your machine, they tryed to take it over. and the places managers figured anyone with a key was the owner. so I changed the locks on it. 3 months later the machine just disappeared. manager said, the owner removed it....

I wish they had gps back then. at least the dealer put the machines serial number on the bill of sales. but you could never get the cops out when you found your machines, and after a while the thiefs were removing the serial plates. shortly after I removed all my machines and quit. lost like 12 machines.

Went to service a location I had, a taqueria, and my machines were nowhere to be found- gone. I asked the manager where they were & he acted like he had no idea, nobody saw nothing. I go outside to try and figure out my next move and I notice this crackhead pushing an empty shopping cart through the parking lot and he goes to the service area knocks on the service door in back of the taqueria. Door opens and I see the dishwasher with my machine inside the door and he is trying to sell it to mr crackhead. I couldnt believe it. 10 minutes before or after and I wouldnt have caught it. I drove up, blocked them in with my truck, grabbed my machines, told them nice try %%$#. When they saw how mad I was they kinda threw their hands up and mumbled something but I was to hot to hear it. I left with them looking at me with this dumfounded look like 'how did he know'.
