mjacks Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 Some low life scum bucket waste of space piece of crap decided that my crane would be filled with riches beyond belief. The scum didn't even get the money out of it before an cleaner in the grocery store came to see what all the noise was about. Happened about 4:30am in the lobby of a grocery store that was closed. Perp busted out the window of the sliding door with a hammer and went to work on my crane. Cleaner came to see what was going on and the person ran away. I just collected this crane recently so there was about $10 in the now destroyed $400 dba. People suck.
sherlock Posted June 28, 2013 Posted June 28, 2013 What a shame. Sorry for your troubles. A thief is among the lowest of life forms. Sometimes in the midst of a bad day, you kinda hope you catch one in the middle of the act, don't you? That would be a nice stress reliever.
mjacks Posted June 28, 2013 Author Posted June 28, 2013 It would be best that I don't catch one in the act. I like my freedom. ;-) I got the call that it was a break in and I was thinking it wouldn't be that big of a deal. Break ins are just a fact of this business. I knew I forgot to put a padlock on this crane when I dropped it off a few weeks ago so I was thinking I am paying the price of forgetting about it. No padlock normally means a thief can pry it open easily just bending the cam on the lock. Easy fix, straighten the cam and put the padlock on. Got there and saw this mess. I just got this crane back up and running after it got beat up at a different location. I guess people just hate this particular crane.

Had a similar number happen on one of my snack machines - total bill came to $350 and I did all the work. I take my consolation in the fact that these scum bags live miserable lives and deserve every minute of it. While I'd take great pleasure in granting them an early ticket to purgatory, that might be letting them off too easy - better that they should suffer as long as possible in the S#*t hole they've made of their lives.

Southernmusic2 Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Nothing worse than a thief in this business. Seem more times than not they just tear the machine up and don't get any money. I have come to the conclusion if they want in they will do what it takes to make it happen. I've had adult redemption games broken in to with alarms on them abd wrap around bars.
mjacks Posted July 3, 2013 Author Posted July 3, 2013 I'm so sorry man that SUCKS! I heard you were looking for a cheap crane. I know where you can find one. ;-) Shipping might be a pain though.
RikaKazak Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 I heard you were looking for a cheap crane. I know where you can find one. ;-) Shipping might be a pain though. I would love to buy it, if I was skilled enough to fix it. (which I don't think I am right now) Sorry again man, I had a washer/dryer broken into like that and it really ruins a person's day :(
mjacks Posted July 4, 2013 Author Posted July 4, 2013 Easy fix just costly. Yep. Time is at a premium right now so that is the worst part. Don't have the time to mess with it right now.
cointech Posted July 18, 2013 Posted July 18, 2013 thats going to be expensive to fix but the quickest is see if you can get another metal box control panel from the mfg. That only has like 6 bolts that holds the whole ting on and a swap would be pretty quick.
