Randy 805 Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 Anybody have any experience placing machines in a DMV office? Seems like a lot of captive traffic...
AZVendor Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 If you can get your foot in the door, it would be a great location depending on employee count and foot traffic. Machines for the customers would be very busy as they wait for service but would get some abuse. If only for the employees, sales will depend on the number of employees.
CajunCandy Posted June 29, 2013 Posted June 29, 2013 I myself ask them at DMV and I was told I would have to call Baton Rouge, at the main office. I just never did. mike like AZ said lot of people in and out all day, it would be worth it.
Walta Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Generally vending in state building are done by blind operator program or go out for bid the bidder offering to pay the highest commission and lowest vend price wins, with the proceeds going to fund the program. Every state is deferent. Walt

Down here, the DMV has a sign stating "No Food or Drinks" when you walk in. This may be a regional thing - I'm pretty sure it's to avoid the extra trash.
CajunCandy Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 Sign on front door says! NO CELL PHONES! If you have a phone in your ear you will not get service!
beejaykc aka Munch A Bunch Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Anybody have any experience placing machines in a DMV office? Seems like a lot of captive traffic... Missouri decided to contract the DMV offices out to individual owners. Some owners own multiple locations - but I don't believe they have to follow state regulations when it comes to vending. The one DMV I visit has old equipment, a VERY captive audience (and large with long lines) and I've never seen anyone actually use the machines. They also have an ATM, which I have seen used. They charge lots of crazy fees for accepting credit/debit cards (they should get a new processor....LOL)
mission vending Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Anybody have any experience placing machines in a DMV office? Seems like a lot of captive traffic... Here in S TX no vending in public areas at the DMV offices, in fact a total ban on all food and drink, if you bring it in they throw you out (speaking from experience)
tedk Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 I had a triple head bulk machine and a combo in one for about a year. It was a big month if we got $50.00 in combined income.
