shepherdsflock Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 I was going to buy some Northwestern 2 column flat machines, but an opportunity to purchase some LYPC 2 column machines came along. They look like clones of the Northwestern machines. Has anybody used both machines? Are the LYPC machines good machines? Would you rather spend the extra money on Northwestern, or do you think there's no major advantage over the LYPC machines?
ronsidney Posted June 30, 2013 Posted June 30, 2013 i dont like either..I prefer aa 2 column or bluebar 2 column.. easier to service ,easier to mount on racks and harder to break in etc...only reason i have nw 2 columns is they came with racks a purchased used. If you buy new i wouldn't buy those 2 .. there are so many used sticker and tat machines out there its crazy right now.. I guess from the retraction of america's market and franchise type stores taking market share.. I mean for real i used to go into a town with populations of say 10K and there would be 4-5 independent restaurants i could place machines at, now there will be only 1 or 2 and the rest either out of biz or franchise rest like mcdonalds now has the market share. and since sticker machines are tanks and hardly ever get scrapped and took out of circulation they end up on used market in good shape. ron
Tbuford Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Yep, I perfer A & A Advance. NW 2 column is ok, but a few more issues than A & A Advance machines.
shepherdsflock Posted July 2, 2013 Author Posted July 2, 2013 Does anyone know if the A&A red would match the Northwestern red color? The location is really particular about colors matching and that was the reason I originally wanted to go with Northwestern; I figured Northwestern should be painting all of their red equipment pretty much the same shade.
