tc vending Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Haven't posted lately need help with this machine its a fsi 3076. You can put a coin in and it will register put the next coin in it doesn't register but goes straight into the box. I have replaced the coin changer, the control board, and the bill validator. Talked to usi tech support, and my parts supplier no clue what to do. The board normally fixes this issue and the changer I have swapped twice. Please help need advice.
AZVendor Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 This sounds like a coin mech problem and you might have actually installed another problem coin mech. ASSUMING you have prices set in the machine, if it only takes one coin (any denomination?), give credit and then puts subsequent coins in the coin box without credit, you have a gate problem in the coin mech. This may be as simple as a stuck coin in the acceptor gate. Let's start from scratch: Are you using a Coinco 9302L or a Mars 6010 mech? Do you have prices set on all selections? Does the machine accept a dollar bill and pay proper change after a successful vend? Was the replacement mech you installed a known good mech? Did you replace the logic board at a different time than the coin mech - not both together? PS: The validator won't have anything to do with this problem. With your answers we should be able to narrrow the problem down.
tc vending Posted July 3, 2013 Author Posted July 3, 2013 Its a Coinco 9302L it gives correct change, takes dollars and works well execept for not registering coins sometimes. The control board came in from my parts supplier last Thursday went in on Thursday. Put a new changer in the day we installed it. The changer and control board where inatalled on seperate days. I know on the validator doesn't have any connection with this issue just frustrated with this unit.
AZVendor Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 I presume the problem didn't change with a new logic board, correct? What was the source of the coin mech? Was it a repaired unit? If so, have them check it out again for proper tuning and gate operation. If not recently repaired, you need to have it or the original coin mech repaired. I still think the problem is in the coin mech. You can pull the acceptor off and remove the rear cover exposing the gate solenoids. Do the solenoids move freely up and down? Is the plastic frame cracked or broken at the pivot points of either gate? I have factory rebuilt coin mechs for $85 exchange if you don't have someone local to repair it.
tc vending Posted July 4, 2013 Author Posted July 4, 2013 Thanks az going to take one my repaired coin mechs and put it in there.
