Vendors Tech Posted July 4, 2013 Posted July 4, 2013 For those of you you who like to work on their own machines, bill validators, and coin changers, we are getting a page on our website up dedicated to bringing free to watch vending repair videos to the internet. As many of you know, there are very few videos on the internet showing how to repair anything on vending machines, and not all of those are free. We are making videos as fast as we can, and plan on covering as many aspects of the industry as possible. Please drop us a note on this thread if you need a video on how to take something apart, or if want us to make one on a certain repair on a certain machine. If the video you request is feasible and something other vendors would likely be able to use in the future, we will do our best to produce them and get them out ASAP. We have the capability at the present time to turn out about one a week, and that is our goal for now. Please leave us feedback as we go! http://www.vendorstech.com/How-To-Videos.html

These are just now reaching the point where they're needing some fixes but most of us haven't dealt with these machines in detail yet Ps. How long does it take to install a Revision door? I've been threatening to get a couple but am not too sure I could do this onsite.

I've been threatening to get a couple but am not too sure I could do this onsite. I can get a door on with the help of one of my guys in 30 minutes. It is very easy to do on location, although the first door might take you longer. By the way, we are a distributor for those, and if you wanted to try a couple, I would give you free shipping on your first pallet. I can get 5 doors on a pallet. The doors cost $1,095.00 We will have the videos on how to put them on soon. I think the video for the AP 7600 will be up first, probably later this month. We are waiting for a machine that we are refurbing that we can take some extra time on and video the door going on, because that will take longer than 30 minutes. :-) The next video to go up will be one showing how to replace the belts on a Coinco Mag style bill validator. That one will be up by tomorrow morning.

Well, if it took you 30 minutes then it would probably take me 3 hours It looks like the key pad only has numbers so I'm assuming that all the selection labels would need to be changed - hopefully the tray harness interfaces with the new UCB. The free shipping is a great deal - lucky you're in Grand Junction (the halfway point) The particular problem I'm having right now is with a Royal Vision Vendor 500 (Ng series). I've got it working but I'd like to inspect the connections under the cup and I can't get the cup off - don't want to muscle it. This is where those videos would really be beneficial as the manuals never go into much detail with stuff like this.

All the tray harnesses interface with the new Door. There are different doors for different models of machines. They are available for the AP 6000/7000/113, and National 147. Each Door comes with proper harnessing for the model it is going on. You have to let us know in advance which machine it will be for. The Royal video would be an easy one to do, but we hardly ever have a Vision in our shop, never sell many refurbished ones. I don't know the procedure well enough by memory to tell you how to do it either. You could call Royal tech support, they would be able to tell you. Call Royal and try to get Lou with tech support, he knows those machines inside and out.
Vending How Chris Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Hey Alden, It's exciting to see someone else providing free resources to vendors! I think the vending industry is going to be changing a lot in the next few years due to technology - both in the tech of the machines themselves and also in the dissemination of information. The retail industry was forever changed by the internet and the writing is on the wall for vending as well. We also provide how-to videos on fixing vending machines as well as articles on the different aspects of running a vending business. Our website can be found at www,vendinghow.com. Our goal is to bring greater transparency to the vending industry and, as a small business ourselves, give other small business vendors the ability to reduce their costs and compete with the bigger guys.
Precious Roy Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I'd like to see some videos on the 800 vending RS800/850 machines. Specifically replacing the motors for the larger drink bins.

Well those are difficult. The off brand machines, 1-800 Vending, Seaga, Antares, Gensis, etc are not models we service, buy, or sell. I am making a note of the request though. Occasionally we come across one that a local vendor has that he is replacing with a newer one. Next time I can my hands on one, I'll get some videos done on it.
