timberframe50 Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 I thought I would share this new location. I seem to find the ones that need something special.
LandJGroup Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Wow, that looks really good. I can see how that would appear to be more classy to some location owners. Good share!! I might have to experiment myself ,and hit up some goodwills for some end tables.
adog Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Ah that's sweet. Looks great. Could be great in a cabin or miners type restaurant! Great idea though and thanks for sharing!
musser Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Good job. I have built a few racks like that but with shelves for local newspapers. I sold the accounts by cleaning up a messy lobby eliminating the crappy wire racks for "free" etc etc.

shepherdsflock Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 I have a "rack" that I purchased with my route. The previous route owner got permission to install machines at a location, but he had to install with the stipulation that the machines could only go on a narrow ledge. He ended up bolting them to an 8 foot long piece of 2"x8" lumber. It actually doesn't look that bad, and the location owner was satisfied.
havending Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Looks nice but remember that if it were to fall and hurt someone the liability would be on you. Have to be careful changing an items purpose
timberframe50 Posted July 9, 2013 Author Posted July 9, 2013 I actully built this, for this purpose, solid oak stair tread, with stair case spindles. I needed to do this because there is about 3 inches of clearance from the top of the 80"s to a glass cabinet it sit under. Someone would have to want to tip it over, but it is possible, like any purcashed rack. I would clamp it to the wall but I have to move it when servicing. Thanks for the great comments.
