MrKentuckian Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 I just ordered some paster hospitality buttermints for my bar locations where owners are permitting me to place another machine. I am thinking of adding these buttermints and planters roasted peanuts to these additional machines thinking these products may be more favorable if dining at these locations. I only have a few locations with peanuts or cashews and these products are fairing alot better than the candies. I am also aware that salt can cause rust but the profit is worth the risk and I plan to swap out tgese machines and clean them from time to time as a preventive measure. Has anyone else tried buttermints? Pastel not "paster"...oops misspelling
GagesVending Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 I haven't tried the mints, however, you could simply use a plastic machine (like a Vendstar) to vend the salted products like peanuts. That way, you really won't have to worry about it rusting away.
Square Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 I sell 'Scotch mints' at one location and they do WAY better then Jelly Beans!

That way if the crowd gets rowdy at all from the drinks they break a 20 dollar machine instead of a 60-100 dollar machine. And the nuts will rust the machine fast depending on what type. I bought 6 machines from a guy once and he threw in a 7th that was totally destroyed from the salt on nuts. I scraped the machine and took off every part still usable!
