jwhutt Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 What are the top 5 most important products to carry? Thanks, Jeff
Smiley Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 850 count assorted gum and whatever 4 toys are selling best in your market at the time.
atuquilar Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 I'm pretty new to the business but so far my best seller has been Mike n Ikes.
dkochan Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Gumballs, Skittles, super balls & toys. Mike & Ike's don't do well in the summer because they tend to stick together in the heat. Sent from my HTCEVODesign4G using Tapatalk 2
deee_z Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 Skittles, Gumballs, Peanut M&M's, M&M's and chicklets

havending Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Just as important as to what to carry is how much to carry. If you are running many items you carry inventory for them and when you carry inventory it cost you money. We have reduced our inventory carrying cost by 10 to 20.% by using all American Chickens and eggs. Great sales and one product to carry plus ease of service. If I had a rack in those locations I would carry 7 to 9 products for the same or less sales. So look at what as well as how much to carry.

I try not fill any heads past the half-way point unless it's a very high selling location. I usually split a 250 count bag of 1" caps between 2 or 3 heads. This helps keep your inventory level down, and also helps you keep products rotated without throwing out huge amounts of product. Don't make the mistake of over filling your machines!
