moondog Posted July 13, 2013 Posted July 13, 2013 http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/bfs/3890464446.html Half a Bevmax 2145 ?
Vendors Tech Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 That's a new one on me. Never seen anything like that. Its not a BevMax. I would NOT buy it though, looks like a Frankenstein. I almost guarantee parts are non existent, unless it was a customer machine from Dixie Narco or Vendo.
AZVendor Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 I can't remember what the manufacturer or model of the machine is but the company went out of business in 2000 or 2001. It was a bottle machine that dispensed hanging bottles and was a very poorly designed machine. The company I worked for in 2000 was selling them and we sold a couple to the State Program for the Blind. They had nothing but problems with them and we had to take them back. By that time the company was out of business and we ended up junking the machines because they were so poorly made. One of these days I might remember the manufacturer, but it is a moot point as they are gone now. I can't imagine that this machine actually works. The only way I would take it is for free (there isn't even a validator in this one) just to test it so see if it works reliably, then maybe use it somewhere that has easy installation, then when it breaks you can get it out and junk it. I would be interested to hear the story behind the machine. Why don't you call and inquire about it and tell us the manuf. and model number. I would be curious to hear the story.
venddoctor Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Not 100% sure but isn't that a Vendcraft Coolview?
AZVendor Posted July 14, 2013 Posted July 14, 2013 Yes, I think that was the name of the manufacturer and model. It was an interesting idea to vend bottles, but I remember it was a piece of junk when I had to work on them. I don't remember specifics about the flaws, but I do remember that I was amazed that someone built a machine with such obvious flaws.
