VendingExperts Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 I was wondering what trading cards sell well in flat? Baseball, football, basketball, hockey, NASCAR, Pokemon, magic the gathering, yugioh? Does anyone sell MTG cards?
caserri Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 I can't speak to how well trading cards sell out of vending machines but, as a collector myself, I will say that for product selection you should stick to whatever sport is popular your area. For example, around here its football, baseball, basketball and hockey. Even though I'm a fan, I probably couldn't give away a NASCAR card around here. Also you'd probably be better off offering sports that are currently in season.
mjacks Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 I have Yugioh cards that sell really well in an Asian mall. Other than that I don't mess with it. I will probably faze out the Yugioh as well once I run out.
Action Vending Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Anybody see the team color mustache mix that flatline is selling this fall? Its gonna be killer Blue and maze for u of m and green and white for msu will kill it this fall.
ReillyNoFun Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I realize this is an old thread but I was wondering if anyone else had any input on this topic? I picked up a big lot of vintage Garbage Pail Kids cards and stickers I am going to try out in my 4 column machine. I'm hoping to do pretty well with them, but maybe I'm biased because I personally think they're cool cards. But any kind of old "dead stock" stuff from the 80's + 90's is very "in" right now..
Hillbilly Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 I received about 20 boxes of baseball and football cards when I bought a competitor out a couple of years ago. The 11 tattoo machines were also full of them and tattoos and stickers. I got somewhere around 5000 cards if I remember right and about 2000 tattoos and stickers. I ordered a couple of mystery mix displays from Cardinal and I slide some cards in every once in a while. I have also bought Wacky Packages stickers at the flea market and yard sales for just pennies. I put them in folders as well. I get .50 out of all of them. The key is not to put too many in at one time. Even if you changed your mech to .25, you should still be able to move some.

I've got thousands upon thousands of sports cards from the 80s and 90s that are worth Jack crap. I could move them with the mystery mix concept whenever I get low on product. How much are the slips that hold the tattoo/sticker per box?

I've never had to buy them new yet, but I believe they are just pennies, much like empty capsules. I have a guy that I wholesale stickers to and I buy the box of sleeves back for $3 off his product.

Is it becoming to time consuming to fill the sleeves?
