bhumphrey829 Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 I was wondering if any of you guys offered OCS service? If so, I would love some advice on how I can add this to my vending. Thanks,

Vending How Chris Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 Don't do it! Just kidding, it's a great idea to diversify your vending company, especially if you have more white collar locations.
Happy Vending Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 I do in 14 locations, what do you want to know? Sorry to bring up an old post, but one of my clients has recently requested this service. They are a manufacturing plant with 200 employees and they have been buying their own k cups and are sick of the hassle. So, 1. What do you buy in terms of coffee product (coffee and equipment) for a location like this? 2. How much would you charge? 3. Any other tips on how this works? Any and all help from anyone is appreciated!

Any and all help from anyone is appreciated! first meet with them and find out what they want. Do they want to keep the K cups and just have someone else deliver them? Do they want a traditional brewer, or one with airpots? What about trays, condiments, hot chocolate, teas, soup, cups etc. Them let them know that you will come back in a few days with a proposal for them. Sam's is a good source for many items. For brewers you can go to a local restaurant supply and possibly even get a good used one for about half the price of a new one. For new I prefer Newco, http://www.newcocoffee.com/ , they are a little cheaper than Bunn but depending on the brewer you need you are looking at 300-700 bucks. For other items like trays, stands etc I like Holiday House, http://www.hhdonline.com/. You can also find stuff at Staples and Amazon. I try to do a 30% markup plus tax, it keeps me pretty competitive price wise and being that I already do the vending I don't need to make a killing on it.

Sounds like I need more information from them in order to make an informed decision. Thanks for all of your help mission!
Vending How Chris Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 I second all this advice. I would like to add that a great strategy is to secure the coffee and vending at every location where possible, and you can often do them at separate times. What I mean by this is that you can do the vending at an account and, by giving great service and being a face they recognize, eventually you can also get their coffee service as well. By offering a variety of vending services you can then maximize each account's potential.
